Im not just talking about Jan 6th.

I'm also talking about Trumps efforts to overturn the election (the thing he's currently been charged with). Conspiring to overturn actual election results in several counties, while simultaneously promulgating the 'Big Lie' that he won.

They're not Fascists. And neither is Trump.

Fascism has a very specific meaning. Similar to Nazism or Communism.

China have done what Russia have done, in that they've toned down the collective ownership of Socialism and come out the other side as dictatorships (which is what happens, when you have a State that controls everything).

Just the idea that its the admitted consensual affair with an adult woman that the usual suspects on this thread have problems with Clinton over is farcical in itself - its the underage/non-consensual/Epstein stuff that they're all over, and rightly so. Just as farcical is the idea that Gaetz was investigated only coz he defends Trump - first investigation was launched in 2020 for events that happened in 2018.

Like.. can we dispense with the water isn't actually wet partisan tapdance here for once and just acknowledge what a shocking pick Gaetz is? Or certainly should be for many here who have had the supposed opinions they've had over the journey.

Can we at least agree that the report should be released? Still a few functional adults in Republican ranks are of that mind.

If 'Military aggression' is your red line, then surely the UK and USA are several hundreds of orders of magnitude worse than China?

I like Trumps view that the US should scale right back its financial support for foreign conflicts

Which is why I fully support the US turning the financial backing of the Ukraine over to Europe. It's Europe's war.

Don't fund Israel either. That's the Middle East's battle.

Name what conflicts the UK has been involved in worse than Vietnam, Korean, Cambodia and Laos wars. I'll wait.
