They're not Fascists. And neither is Trump.

Fascism has a very specific meaning. Similar to Nazism or Communism.

China have done what Russia have done, in that they've toned down the collective ownership of Socialism and come out the other side as dictatorships (which is what happens, when you have a State that controls everything).
Does the very specific meaning include trump?

And besides not being Italian, what criteria of fascism don't the Chinese satisfy?

What tools?

Blades, trowels, scrapers, the snappiest little tool that took out all the weeds between a massive area of pavers in about an hour for $7 with almost no effort so I can refill, planter sacks, this thing like a dutch hoe with spikes on it etc

Oh ... and I did buy one top. The material's pretty good and I'm someone who back in the day wouldn't wear anything unless it was a higher end.

I'm buying a new chainsaw next.

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Such well timed and purely "coincidental" outbursts while Gaetz led a push to remove then Republican speaker Kevin McCarthy. Very credible indeed.
Yes, leading the push to remove him in part because Kev supported the investigation into allegations re: sex crimes involving minors. "The best people" :tearsofjoy:

You never let me know if you think the report about the Gaetz allegations that was due to be released this week should still be, by the way?

Speaking of coincidences...

Let me guess, you also don't think that Trump is making these picks predominantly on blind loyalty to him rather than suitability and qualification for the job?

I guess the plea for just one honest discussion devoid of the gaslighting and partisan hackery was in vain. Not surprising I suppose, but disappointing nonetheless :(

Ozito 2x18v electric chainsaw from Bunnings goes alright, but I run makita batteries in it.

Oh yeah I've got four makita batteries I use for my lawn mower and drill, I might have a look. The one I've got only has a 10" chain and I need bigger for a project.

Don't think history will remember kindly the Harris/Waltz ticket. I do miss the changing accents of Kamala and uncle Tim's fake stories though. My favourites will always be "ya betta thanka union memba" and Tims Tales of Tiananmen.

AOC is next up.

AOC v Don Jr. Will be exciting.

No, I dont think the USA (under Trump) is Fascist.

If you were to ask me if I think that Trump would remake America into a Fascist State if he could, my answer would be 'Yes' though.

I think (or at least hope) that the American liberal Republic is strong enough to resist any efforts to flip it to fascism, regardless of what Trump (or many of his supporters) want.

While it shares many qualities similar to fascism, I don't characterize the Chinese government as militant enough or far-right (patriarchal, xenophobic, warmongering etc) enough to qualify.

China has an authoritarian, unitary party state, with a mixed economy, and a dictator for life (similar to the fascists and Nazis) but in other ways they're very different (Fascists and Nazis framed the world as themselves in conflict with other races/ nations, and believed in hierarchies. The Chinese - similar to Communist regimes - don't frame things in this way).

Russia is stronger candidate for the term, but even with them, I see their system as having important distinctions between fascism (and the closely related doctrine of Nazism).

Link us all to where Australia has hacked Chinese companies or Government agencies if you could.

Will wait.

Are you ****ing serious?

Do you think that ASIS and the ASD (our foreign intelligence service, and our signals directorate) do not spy on (and hack) China?

What do you think our spies and cyber warfare people actually do mate?

There's more than enough money, military personal and equipment in Europe to support Ukraine.

So you think European countries should support Ukraine being invaded by Russia, and ramp up their military spending and build up their armies again?

In case you've forgotten what happened the last three times European nations (and Russia) ramped up military spending, and armed themselves in Europe, here is a refresher:

Napoleonic wars

Word War 1

World War 2

Has history taught you nothing?

He's appointing a literal rabid antivaxxer with zero medical or scientific expertise as head of the US Health Department.

Does that not answer the question?

Just another appointment of a wealthy establishment 'Elite' (in this case, a member of the Kennedy dynasty) to a top job.

China is absolutely patriarchal and xenophobic. They are also militant, not sure if you missed their massive military build-up over the last few decades.

I meant the constant references to Nazis and Hitler that get levelled at Trump.

When multiple members of your own family can't support you what does that say?

I meant the constant references to Nazis and Hitler that get levelled at Trump.

Hitler was a Far-Right wing, populist, charismatic orator, who lied often, believed in conspiracies, was an outsider from the establishment, who railed against the 'elites', was backed by armed paramilitaries (first the Friekorps, then the SA), blamed 'foreigners' for 'poisoning the blood of the nation', blamed ANTIFA and Radical Marxists for all the ills of the world, and survived an assassination attempt. He also was presiding over a decaying Republic, in a time of economic strife, where the people voted in 'something different' and tried to seize power by force, by first unsuccessfully directing his supporters to march on the Bavarian parliament, before finally blaming Socialists and ANTIFA for a fire at the Reichstag, and seizing power that way.

Trump on the other hand is a Far-Right wing, populist, charismatic orator, who lies often, believes in conspiracies, is an outsider from the establishment, rails against the 'elites', is backed by armed paramilitaries (Proud boys, 3 percenters), blamed 'foreigners' for 'poisoning the blood of the nation', blames ANTIFA and Radical Marxists for all the ills of the world, and survived an assassination attempt. He is presiding over a decaying Republic, in a time of economic strife, where the people voted in 'something different'. He also once tried to seize power by force, by first unsuccessfully directing his supporters to march on the US parliament.

There are differences as well between Hitler and Trump (and between Trumpism and Nazism), but can you honestly not see the similarities here?

Why do you think open Neo Nazis like Nick Fuentes, David Duke, the KKK etc all support Trump wholeheartedly?

They all sure as shit see it.
