What is the 'left narrative' by the way?

From where I sit the 'right narrative' is broken down into traditional conservatives (who favor tax cuts for the wealthy, with such tax cuts generally being paid for by severely curtailing welfare and health care for the poor, or by playing down climate change, and who also tend to hold conservative social values such as opposing LGBTI issues, migration and feminism) and Trumpists who (despite seemingly loathing billionaires and the 'elites', and are generally the very people who will be the ones suffering the most from having welfare and health care taken away) vote alongside the traditional conservatives because they also have conservative social values.

All you have to do is dangle some right-wing populism at them about migrants, the 'socialist LGBTI agenda' or similar, and they'll vote you in so you and your wealthy mates can proceed to make a ton of money.

You conspiracists have gone halfway. You've all actually identified the real fact that there are wealthy elites who hold disproportionate amounts of power and have the ear of the government.

You then vote for the party most likely to support the agenda of these elites, by giving them tax cuts, deregulating their industries, and literally employing them in jobs.

It's weird.

I'm not a Socialist, but if you really hate the elites and want to take away their money and power, Socialism is the answer.
