If, and thats a big IF, he does come, chances are that half way though the year when things arent going his way he'll chuck in a dummy spit and he'll leave. Would be a drawcard for the series if it were to happen. $2mil is alot and I would say most sponsors wouldnt put up the money in this climate.

Ambrose's mate Boris Said has also been mentioned. Would make sense replacing one bonehead with another.

Article says it would be for a full season, not just one or two races. Would be a huge coup for V8 Supercars if he did sign on to drive. $2m though in these times might be pushing it though.

Jacque couldn't get enough money to keep his seat in his Nascar ride,so I can't see him getting a fulltime gig in V8's.

If he does come I believe he could make an impact if his head is in the right place - ie treats the series seriously or not

Most here are Ford fans but Im eagerlly awaiting to see how Team Kelly will pan out!

Ill add a bit of unbiased discussion to the Kelly debate. I think early on theyll find it pretty tough, whilst its a big enough operation to succeed it wont be this year. 2010 and beyond you might see the Kelly gang consistantly at the pointy end again......... hopefully alot further away :p

Whilst you'd always expect bumps with a new team, aren't they using Perkins cars and engines? Todd Kelly's car was one of the strongest cars at the end of the year, so if they can build on that development I wouldn't be surprised to see both Kelly's Top 5 at Clipsal.

They wont be ahead of Tander, Whincup, Lowndes, Winterbottom, Courtney or Davidson, at least not early in the year, so im struggling to see one let alone both of them in the 5...... Only the most optimistic Holden fan would think so.

Here's another non-driver rumour....the future of the GC round has to be under threat again with A1GP cancelling rounds and rescheduling others. I think they're just about cactus, and time and again the Qld Government says they aren't closing the roads for a V8 only race.

Only round round was cancelled [the opening round] and that was simply because none of the new cars were ready. The Mexico round has been moved back a week [March 22] because there's a Radiohead concert at the baseball stadium inside the Mexico City track on the original date [March 15].

A 2nd round was cancelled in Indonesia, due to the circuit not being completed in time to be approved by the FIA. No FIA licence and the series couldn't race there.

They have announced a new round to wrap up the series at Interlagos in May.

Jacques looks unlikely

One of the options he has is to go racing V8 Super Cars in Australia, a NASCAR-style series that races stock cars on road courses.

"But I doubt I will do that," he said. "My family is settled in Montreal and it wouldn't be fair to uproot them for a few months racing in Australia."

another known driver change finally confirmed

i like the look of the car! and its good to see the proper logo to return. instead of just the lion

so that only leaves SCR to confirm their replacement for morris

and then Perkins / Kelly to say exactly what their going to do?

Another driver confirmation
Jason Richards joins Team BOC

Interestingly it doesn't mention which driver he is replacing, but you'd have to assume it's Andrew Jones because he was the Team BOC driver.Cam McConville is the WOW Racing driver.

Yes it Andrew, he is just going to do the enduro's and someother class. Not sure what yet:)
