I always had and love #4Great number is 10. I always asked for 10 when I played various sports when I was younger.
Still always include 4 in lotto

Should i buy my son Lalors jumper next year or wait a few years until his number is settled?Given it’s cricket season, I always take guard on middle stump.

Agree, I’ve posted how I think numbers are significant and some thought should go into who gets what but I hate the idea of retiring numbers or leaving them vacant out of respect or whateverAmericanised bullshit.

Dusty will go down as one of if not the greatest Richmond players of all time
No one is going to be the “perfect” replacement to have number 4 but shelving the number is more disrespectful to his legacy imo
We need to see our famous numbers out on the field with new kids adding to the legacy of those numbers
Lalor in my mind is a close to a perfect fit as anyone
4 remaining vacant for now
they are just copying what they did with dustyI also think it’s another situation of Yze being half pregnant.
Not being his own coach. Keeping some traditions and moving on with others.
I agree with you, retiring for one year adds nothing to Dusty’s legacy. So if Lalor shows glimpses they are gonna anoint him? Why not now.

Jumper numbers being rested isn't new, or Unique to Richmond. It's not going to be forever.Agree, I’ve posted how I think numbers are significant and some thought should go into who gets what but I hate the idea of retiring numbers or leaving them vacant out of respect or whatever

Absolutely
Lalor appears to want the 4 for his own reasons but is also willing to put his balls on the line and understand the expectations
Let him have it imo
Almost seems like the club are afraid the see the jumper playing at VFL level or something
Yeah I get that but just with everything we have heard from Lalor and with his own history with the number giving him number 4 just makes senseJumper numbers being rested isn't new, or Unique to Richmond. It's not going to be forever.
maybe he'll get another low numberYeah it’s so ****ing weird.
There was great expectations on Cotchin, Edwards, Riewoldt etc when they were drafted early and it didn’t faze them to take those numbers. In fact it helped them take ownership of the clubs direction. Like Lalor wants to do. He wants to be that next wave leader. We are stifling him.
