So here we are Tuesday evening and still no headline report about the U/23 team winning the AAFC Carnival on the VAFA webpage...where is the match report???..where is the list of VAFA players selected for the All Australian Team to tour Ireland later this year??

Communications is a joke from HQ

Where is the latest media relase section on the Webpage?

Deadset pay far too much money for a beanhead media man and it is time someone came out and admitted it.

Heath Ledger and that other goon head who were no doubt his 'new' ideas for 2011 have gone and donuts in their place.

Outa here.

Mate, there is a big tab on the website that says "Big V." Try clicking on it....

It's called an Ash Cloud and it's been causing havoc with flights in and out of Melbourne and Adelaide, just in case you have had your head up your arse for the last few days.

BS - Ash Cloud is no excuse on several fronts...surely in this day and age remote access to publish an article on the front VAFA webpage could have been achieved...secondly I understand the team had arranged travel back to Vic. anyway?

Justafan...Yes I have seen and used the Big V. Tab but it just reinforces why hasn't there been a match summary story about the final (as promised) and the wash up of All Australian selections???

Big Bucks are being spent to employ a full time person and yet most press coverage is generated by volunteers at clubs and not someone who should be at the forefront of this.

A second year uni media studies student could create the same level of output..IMO

Upon further reflection perhaps the answer to the question of why there has been a lack of publicity about the U/23 teams success is in the actual make up of the squad that represented the VAFA....must be a long time since there has been no players and officials in an undefeated BiG V team as such that come from the land of claret and stout???

Maybe this explains our Media Guru's feelings towards it all given his and others history with them???

Given the push for the 'BiG V' Club and all and sundry with it over the past 3 years it seems to be a big missed 'opportunity'..but then again missed opportunities are a strength of those on level 1 at HQ of late!!

I would have thought the information provided would be enough. Not sure what more you are after. Maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't have thought there was that much interest in the game.
I would have to say that you are right in some way in regards to the Ammo's communication. You just have to look at the Eastern league to see how well they do it.

There is finally a great carnival report now on the Big V page - thought a photo or two might have added some colour, particularly with 4 days of editing time since the final siren?
Having said that, I must say I am a little shocked that it eludes to a "questionable umpiring decision in front of goals" being the source of a narrow victory in one of the round robin games. Imagine if a club website posted that about a vafa umpire - there would be an investigation for sure.

Well done to the Vics. 7 All Australians. Still looking for Charles Shaw. Must have been 8th in line?

Thanks for the heads up Rah Rah..agree that for someone who supposedly prides himself of being tech savvy a few photo's added should have been a simple ask as well but I rest my rant on this subject for a while.

Long time between the final siren and the article appearing..don't think he last long in the Murdoch world of news!

Great effort by involved and well done to all selected for AA honours..a trip to Ireland later this year a just reward for their committment and performaces.

Signing out!

Outa.

Haven't seen Fitzgerald at a game this year, like Sholly, he tries to confine himself to games involving his alma mater. If he is "The Shielk", I miss his Top 20 lists.

Gerard Fitzmichael apparently likes to attend Uni Blues games, so he can keep a close eye on 'little' Johnny, hmmmmmmmmmm.

Apparently Charlie boy just withdrew his nomination for the 2012 draft! And to add salt, he missed the plane and drove back with the umpires.

I missed the members meeting on Monday... What did I miss?

Also noticed that the "Saturday Skinny" legs were removed from the picture, probably a good idea ;)
