Firstly who gives a f@ck about BT. They couldn't make the four in D1 so I'm guessing they aren't much chop. Yes they did win a few games towards the end but the 4 was already decided before there run of wins so you can't read into there wins. BT will be good next year, so how many players have they recruited or lost, dumbest thing I read all year.

Secondly Oakliegh are team to beat. Sorry how many times did they OM this year? Zero I think the answer will be three for mentone. Also a shame they one of there better backman is having a two week holiday (lose to mentone - win the next he plays GF- win against mentone - no GF) such a shame, I heard it was a cheap pussy punch anyway. Mentone will shit all over Oakliegh, I've heard that they have permission to train at Barker oval.

Reynolds... What can I say. The softest CHF in the comp. I can't recall him doing anthing productive when it has been crunch time. Great player to have when 10 goals up though. (it would be good to him run in a straight line through a contest.)

ps,

we love Mcgee at panther land

winners piss all the way

PPS. HAMPTON ARE TOSSERS

speculation... ins/outs... bla bla bla. spare me mules. the better team will win on the day. there are pussies like reynolds in most teams, get over it. there isnt much love for mentone at rovers either and your coach is a w***er, deal with it.

BRING ON SUNDAY

hahaha our season is over mate, just looking forward to next year.. was just predicting oakleigh, no need to have a crack..

p.s. only the first week of finals mate, i'd be keeping a lid on it...

It will be interesting to see if these names will be playing this week for Old Mentone.

Wiltshire, Biggs, Cochrane, B. Carroll will they be playing as they have missed the last few games?

Four pretty handy players if they play.

What ever happened to that Kibby kid, he was a gun hasnt played in ages?

I know from a relaible source that the hardworking Trent W will be back this week for Mentone. he has put in the hard yards wearing runners everyday and walking with a limp. No doubt he will put in %110 and this will be a huge bonus. I would be worried if is was oakliegh they will need to put their best man on him.

Rumor has it that Kibby will be making a return this week.

Good luck trent i admire your work ethic

Whatever *******. They're both ******s compared to yours truely. Cant wait to stick it up McGee's arse this weekend (he'll probably enjoy that) then have the weekend off and face whoever in the Granny in a couple of weeks.
It doesn't matter who we play. We could play Geelong for ****s sake! We dont care, we've got me!!!

Say for example Channel 7 decided to televise the D1 finals series as a fill-in for the AFL finals series (because Channel 10 got the AFL finals series).Seeing what has been going on with the AFLPA ordering their players not to talk to Seven during the week or after the game because of the drugs issues, would the four D1 finals sides-Oakleigh, Old Mentonians, Hampton Rovers & Prahran-do the same thing if Seven was doing the D1 finals and ban Seven from entering the rooms, talking to the players etc?

Your not the full two bob are you Jascave?

did a great job??? serious???

No one at Parade is serious about footy. Otherwise they wouldn't be where they are today.

Can anyone tell us more about the McKenzie incident? He's not much chop anyway. We've got Oakleigh's measure. He better hope they win the Prelim if he wants to play footy again this year. Has anyone seen BHolt? He's been missing for weeks now. Harder to track down than Bin Laden, he is. What's he so scared of? I wouldn't talk to Ch.7 Jascave. As skipper of the first side to gain a spot in C section I'd be telling our players not to as well. Very ordinary effort from them.

Do you think it's a good idea if the players from all clubs in ALL sections form the Victorian Amateur Football Players Association, where the players can have a say in the running of the VAFA. In my opinion, I think the Executive don't give the players a say on the way the VAFA should be run (ie rules, tribunal/investigations, medical insurance) and they don't allow the players to have a collective voice to also air their concerns to the Executive on the issues I have raised above. The VAFPA could change all that. After all, if the umpires have their own association to air concerns about the VAFA as a whole and also the coaches, why not the ones who are putting the hand up to play week in, week out for their clubs-the players.

Jascave we do, club delegates would go and voice any concerns that a playing group may have. All a VAFPA would do is be another group (Like VAFAUA) that have no power, and we would all have to pay more money to play to run a group like this. Stick to writing players number down, hope you do that right?

Jase, you make me laugh. Admire your persistence old boy.

shutup.............

JC 15, I agree with you on this. Did Seven realised just how sensitive those documents were? Why it didn't say no to the woman who presented them with the files is beyond me. They should've told her to go away and mind her own business. The fact that they did not indicate that Seven is no longer a network to be taken seriously anymore. Seven is like one of those newspapers in London who will happily part money in the way of upsetting everyone. I hope heads will roll at Seven out of this issue.

Now it's down to 4: Oakleigh, Old Mentonians, Hampton Rovers, Prahran. It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top at the end of week 1 of the finals. With both semi finals on the same day it will make it hard for clubs who are playing this week to look at the other teams that they might be playing either next week or meeting later on in the grand final.

Here's my tips for the Semi Finals:

First Semi Final:
Hampton Rovers by 20 points.

Second Semi Final:
Old Mentonians by 3 points in a epic contest.

Good call. 3 from 3 after this week and all you McGee knockers will see just what it takes to be successful.
Quick one though. We will be able to watch who our next opponent will be. They'll be playing in a Prelim final on our week off.
Will Anthony Browne be fit for the weekend? Or is it true he might be suffering from the equine flu?

Jas, given recent events with the AFL, what about drug tests for all D1 finals participants. I would hate to think sides will gain an advantage in such a tight finals series. Even though we are ex D1, this Magee bloke from OM sounds sus to me. Given the status of Amateur footy i think if the MCG is available around prelimanary final week,(which it normally is) there should be a clause allowing VAFA games to be played there. Imagine the Rovers against the Angry Panthers on the hallowed turf. I know i'd probably rather watch that game than Melb V Carl this week!!!!

Piss off you cretin. Keep going as you please Jase. Just keep it to D1 though buddy.

Tips for this week:
2nd Semi finals
Mentone - first booking into C Section for 2008
Oakleigh - be very surprised to see them drop another game. Looked a very good side for a bunch of dew kickers last weekend.

1st Semi finals
Hampton - for obvious reasons.
Prahran - think they're the best chance to knock Oakleigh off. Will have planted the seed a few weeks ago. Just need to make sure they win through.

Chirp Chirp Chirp!

Round 12 OM 65 - HR 90
Round 13 OM 75 - Therry 25
Round 14 OM 96 - Parade 81
Round 15 OM 95 - Oak 82
Round 16 OM 101 - Yarra 140
Round 17 OM 38 - BT 140 (ha ha)
Round 18 OM 150 - Pen 96

Only 1 decent win there, and a few thumping losses!

Not particularly good recent form to start the OM's chirping

Hey Jas - can you please give us the ins and outs for Hampton this week and the starting 18 in position?

cheers

Jase wasn't there last night ugly. A squad of 25 was named to be confirmed in a team meeting tomorrow night. I suggest you get down to Weatherall Road Cheltenham to see how they line up. Should be a ripping contest.
