Venn Diagram Challenge - Coaches

Remove this Banner Ad

Venn diagrams show sets. Traditionally they show the intersections of three sets. You have 4 sets. If five coaches are outside the sets a Venn diagram is not the right way to show the data. That set is the empty set, so there is no one in it .. ..

just being pedantic ;)

You have a Port supporter attempting to lecture us in mathematical theory

Did you really expect it to work?

Incorrect. The complete set is "coaches" which includes 16 individuals. There are three subsets of which 5 coaches fit in neither.

For example from http://www.purplemath.com/modules/venndiag.htm

In this example a worm is part of the "animal" set but it is neither "small and furry" or "duck-billed" therefore it lies within the animal set but outside the other two sets.

Thank you for your concern.

Hmm - I'll see you and raise you my Wikipedia ..

Hard to find any other source that uses the empty set in the way shown ..

Although I get the pot, I'll give you back your chips if you apologise, admit you intellectual inferiority and go spend some time in a solarium, you anaemic little flog, Kempy.

Hmm, obviously the total number of brain cells of Port supporters is two, and not one as previously thought .. talk about feral ..

It looks like a few more hints are required.

vdques.png

  • A coach that fits in the red circle only is qualified to distribute drugs, and his club loves him for it.
  • A coach that fits in only the yellow and blue circles is anaemic and doesn't know what a hard ball is.
  • The other coach that fits in only the yellow and blue circles fell out of a tree with a brown paper bag and found himself coaching an AFL team.
  • A coach with a mould-drenched moustache doesn't belong in any of the circles.

He is a West Coast supporter, he's special;)

Bahahaha, and that from a West Coast flog, bahahahahaha:eek:

Yes those two brain cells keep challenging each other and the competition is productive. Maybe you should seek some company for yours before it tops itself and leaves you with a flat electroencephalogram.

But before I leave you alone make sure you teach your friendless cell not to underestimate your opponent … unless that opponent is Matthew Spangher … because underestimating him is impossible.

More hints:

  • A midget fits doesn't fit in any of the circles.
  • A bloke who throws punches at St Kilda pubs fits only in the blue circle.
  • The coach that fits into all three circles considers it a great learning experience.
  • A bloke that has never coached a winning game belongs in the blue circle only.

Good luck.

1stly, there are 18 coaches and you have Port's coach wrong while you left out Sheedy and McKenna (GWS and GC are AFL affiliates afterall)

coached 120 pt loss
Neil Craig
Kevin Sheedy
John Worsfold

never won a premiership
Brad Scott
Brett Ratten
Damian Hardwick
Dean Bailey
Mark Harvey
Matthew Knights
Michael Voss
Neil Craig
Rodney Eade
Ross Lyons
Guy McKenna
Dean Laidley

finals rate below 40%
Neil Craig - 33.33%
Brett Ratten - 0%
Matthew Knights - 0%
Rodney Eade - 37.5%
Dean Laidley 20%

Kevin Sheedy and Guy McKenna – technically are current coaches but not part of the 16 mentioned. Dean Laidley definitely not a senior coach … but I'll forgive you for this minor indiscretion.

But congratulations Riggy.

This seems to be going gangbusters......

Good for you D_One ...you cracked 1 joke today...I guess that about the limit.:thumbsu:

BTW ...I never got the point of these things in Grade 5 ...not much chance I'll appreciate their value to an argument now!

Time for the second challenge … it’s a bit tougher … and this time Riggy try to stick to the 16 coaches from the clubs currently competing in the AFL. There's a good chap. :thumbsu:

it got off the front page and you decided to bump it
ps. I have a life D_One, either cut it down to current coaches, and supply me with sources, otherwise you'll be doing it all to yourself
