I am so ****ing sick of watching our players miss easy shots on goal, it's a basic skill and it's ****ing embarrassing. How long do we have to continue like this before we see some change? Before they realise that what we're doing isn't going to get us anywhere.

We're a timid, mediocre side atm, where's the passion? Why did no one get up in Henrys grill when he taunted the freo fans like an arrogant little c*nt? Alex Pearce, King out marks you then shoves the ball into you to let you know about it, why the f*ck are you not getting up him and letting him know about it when he misses?

I swear we have maybe 3-4 players that will actually stand up and fight for the jumper, FMD even Brayshaw was shirking contests tonight.

Just toothless.

He is a spud, which is why it says a lot that he played better than a lot of our boys tonight.
 
Dunno what game you were watching if you think Henry played better than a lot of our guys tonight. He had 10 with half of those coming in the first few minutes of the game and being gifted a goal. He was dog shit from halfway through the first quarter until the end.

Bruh, you either didn’t watch the game closely or you’re just putting that out there to get reactions. He was mediocre amd looked just as mediocre as lot pf our boys, yes but not better and certainly not “a lot better”
 
I’m tired now. Just tired watching this club. That victory felt hollow. It’s difficult to describe how bad St Kilda were tonight yet they were still in the game with 5 min left.

The goalkicking was horrific. There really is no other way to describe it. I would have more faith in Auntie Joy to kick a set shot from 25m out than most of the freo players now. It’s like a disease that has even infected Amiss. What the Fcuk are they doing all week in training? This problem is getting worse not better. Fyfe is like a parody at this stage when he has a set shot. He’s my fav AFL player even and a champion of the game but how can he be this bad at goalkicking? When he took the mark earlier everyone around me in the crowd started jeering and laughing. They all knew what was coming next. Like clockwork.

if we were playing a team with even a semblance of ability they would have punished us hard for all those misses tonight.

Then there’s the handballing. That’s the bigger issue to be honest. Players now just get the ball out of stoppages and handball around in circles repeatedly to a teammate under pressure usually. Every now and again someone decides to kick it inside 50 and it usually creates a chance. Over and over again we have evidence this style doesn’t work against top class opposition but the coach is doubling down on it.

6:4 is actually not a bad start but I’m certain there’s no long term success to be had with the current handballing gameplan.

Maybe "just as mediocre" is a better way to put it but I would have preferred him in that small forward role compared to Emmett or Walters at the very least.

Should have been pinged about 3 times by the umps but kept getting away with it
That goal from a free was one of the crappest high contact calls I’ve ever seen

So glad he’s gone and Sharp was one of our best on ground tonight to replace him
 
It was pissing down with rain all day in Adelaide during the Port v Hawthorn game and they still managed to put together a more free-flowing and higher scoring game then Saints v Freo in perfect conditions under the roof. Even funnier considering Hawthorn were trying to slow/shut the game down for about 3 quarters.

Port 80-79 Hawthorn

St Kilda 55-72 Freo

23 combined goals in torrential rain vs 17 combined goals in perfect conditions

I can be happy with a win whilst also being unsatisfied with how we played and continue to play footy.

At the moment there seems to be quite a lot of posters having a crack at other posters on this board. I don’t really know why the mods allow it, but they do so fair enough.

It’s a discussion forum, people think and view the world differently and ought to be able to post here without feeling like others are having a crack at them personally.

Mine is a valid vent

I'm looking at joyful faces on our players celebrating a win, and continue to get shut down by 'supporters' because I actually support my team and don't believe in isolating and heaping shit on our own players. It's like you can't even celebrate when we win, or you get frowned upon when you recognise what the coach is trying to do.
