Had him on ignore for years (and him me I think) but I always knew when he was in the thread because someone was getting sick of his shit.

Seemed to have improved last year with not baiting and attacking people but that now seems to have gone out the window.

Might have changed his medication recently

There is only one way to deal with him without getting banned and that is to simply ignore him. Whenever you notice him getting a reaction out of someone else, tell them to do the same. You can literally set your profile to ignore him if you find resisting his petulant little comments too much. He uses personal attacks and pop psychology to get under your skin, shifting the premise of the discussion continually and pandering to any who support him.

It's not like there's a lot of competition for stadium catering. Spotless is dying a long agonising death and O'Brien used to own Spotless, so they are just a facsimile of mediocre. Delaware North won the Docklands Stadium because Spotless ran out of meat pies at quarter time of the very first match ever played. How hard can it possibly be to stock a 50K capacity stadium with enough pies? Running out of beer is just UnAustralian though.

Happened at Stadium Australia during the Cal vs Hawaii game the other year. Disgracful.

Have been in touch with the Club and they are well aware of it and are certainly endeavouring to get the caterers etc to be on their game next time

He has a couple fooled but they will wake up

The stadium caterers had better be on the their game because Metricon could soon have a lot more event dates. I have worked in a lot of stadiums, including the Gabba, MCG, Docklands and Flemington Race Course. The bread and butter may come from matchdays, but you need to create customer experiences that make people want to come back for all sorts of occasions.

Can I ask, is the corporate catering up to snuff? Does anyone have experiences to relay from the high end catering in corporate boxes and areas? Because if the Caterers are able to achieve success there then the rest is beer and skittles.

I watched the launch of the Catering plan at Levi's Stadium in San Francisco and they have the best caterers from the City bringing their products to game day. If they ran out of beer the crowd would burn down the stadium. Instead, they provide a culinary experience at 5 Star restaurant quality, even if you just want a Hotdog.

I spent the first 2 seasons in the lounge and had a fairly good experience. Some days were better then others. 1st season there was prawns and oysters at every game with a random assortment of nibbles differing each week from beef sliders, satay chicken sticks, lamb sticks and mint yogurt sauce. Then half time drumsticks and various dessert cakes would be out with party pies and sausage rolls.

In the second year the prawns and oysters vanished and the food seemed to be mini variants of what could be purchased from the various stalls. Mini fish/calamari and chips, mini hot dogs, party pies etc.

The bar up in the lounge was always busy but it wouldnt take more then 5 minutes to get served and a good selection of full strength and craft beers.

I dont have anything to compare it too however never been in a corporate section at another stadium.

I changed two words from the bestselling book and film of the 20th Century and get one like? You mob are hard to please! This was inspired comedy. Mr Bods I think they are afraid to like it until you weigh in. You were referencing LOTR weren't you?

We could all do with some comedic relief. SunnerSS is putting mk.2 of this week's podcast into postproduction as we speak. No comedy, but some analysis and thought provoking discussions.

We have more important (non football department) staff members leaving due to the state of the club.

The club have forced the head of the cheersquad to resign due to 'behavioural' issues.

And the CEO is questioning the clubs existence behind closed doors.

We really are a shamble

The Scarlet Pimpernel needs to demonstrate why he’s been put here rather than living off past Hawthorn glory.
If he’s not up for it then he can go back to AFL House.

Until last night I never questioned or doubted the future existence of our club. Now I just wanna be put out of my misery.

Really makes you feel like really just not caring about it all.

Though saying that, if anything was to happen. I would give up on supporting the AFL as a whole. Would just be the round ball game for me.

Yeah.
Father brother cousin played for North and The Swans
I played 200+ at various levels up to VFA and A grade Amateurs
I was a mad North supporter but lost interest in the game in the 2000's
The Suns brought me back
If they went I could imagine never looking at another AFL game tbh
