Brad Johnson on Sportsday, talking about a player, said he was “setting the lights out”.
I think he meant “shooting the lights out”.

BT: "He took the risk he shouldn't of"

Bill Hader Smh GIF by Saturday Night Live

The phrase "in and around" is the latest trend. "In and around the ball" (Wot??) "In and around the contest", etc.

The cretin Tom Morris said he'd been speaking to people "in and around" Dustin Martin.
When did "learnings" replace "lessons"? Do these people call football "kickings"?

With all this talk of nuclear, let's see who can't pronounce the word.

I've heard "nucular" from a surprising number of people.

And "nicular" from Chris Bowen :laughv1:
You might've noticed a lot of younger people pronouncing "new" the American way, "noo", instead of "nyooz".

I demand that all the AFL journos and pundits that do so immediately S__T__O__P referring to Taylor Walker as "Texas" or worse, "Texan"?

"Tex" if you like, but sack all the rest of that bloke shyte off. You're not his mate.

I find it nauseous enough when turds like Damien Barrett refer to star players with their nicknames, like "Danger", "Gaz", etc like the little weasel at school who pretended he was mates with the most popular kid to skim off some of his popularity for himself. But this Texan business is too much. For the love of God, quit it.
