Before everyone had sewerage connected, Stan the dunny man would come around and take the toilet pan away and give you an empty one. He would wear a flat hat and carry the pan on it. Remember it in parts of Melbourne in the 70’s.

getting sick of Boomer Harvey doing that thing a lot of older country Australians do and get their present/past tense wrong:

e.g. "Brisbane come from 44 points down last weekend"

People in the everyday world doing this I can abide, but not a professional broadcaster, especially the ABC.

It’s almost as if speaking correctly is thought of as trying to be posh, something you’re not.

Same with “I seen the game” and “He done his best”.
