From Paul Amys article on CODE Sports:

Northern Bullants have signed 10 new players already for 2025, which are mainly players from VFL aligned clubs seeking more opportunity.

Port Melbourne look likely to sign former Bulldog and Port Melbourne Colts junior Charlie Clarke

Frankston has signed Kade de la Rue from North VFL and Williamstowns Corey Ellison could be joining him. When was the last time we saw a player from Willy join Frankston? Its always been the other way round...

Werribee have lost Nathan Cooper and Stefan Radovanovic back to local its presumed, while Nick Hayes joins Nick Coughlan in retirement. Kye Declase who left mid year is reportedly joining Box Hill

Casey Demons have regained Deakyn Smith as a VFL listed player but Roan Steele and Mitch White are confirmed departures, while key swingman Ryan Valentine looks like hes bound for Coburg after been reportedly SANFL bound.

Taj-Campbell Farrell was on Williamstown's list but never got a game before joining us, I believe. That's the only recent example I can think of.

Corey Ellison confirmed to be crossing over to Frankston.
Kade Del La Rua (North Melbourne VFL) also

Spoke with Fraser Byrne (Dolphins CEO) and seemed to be a big focus on getting local guys who were at other VFL clubs to "come home". Easier said than done but with opportunity comes experience, with experience comes opportunity

eth-dog

Amin Naim heading to Ants, ditto young Will Madden who was with the Bombers VFL list this year also Charlie Bolmat.

Harry Flynn (Collingwood VFL. > Bullants) is a good get, add him to that young core they are building and it may not be a complete domination in 2025.

Fraser's mentioned it as a priority a few times. In past years players have been choosing other VFL teams when they live a stone's throw from Frankston Oval. Obviously there's something going wrong there if that's happening. There's a big push to make Frankston the club of choice for VFL-quality players in the south-eastern area.

Eh. Naim isn't a huge loss. Thought Eyre and Taha showed more in their games, and I wouldn't be upset if they left too

Fraser Bayne also had a son that chose to go to Sandringham over Frankston when he finished at Talent League level

Think I've heard that before. I know he plays his local footy with Mt Eliza (played in one of their premiership teams this year.) Is he still playing at Sandringham?
No he played at Mt Eliza all year where he dominated again. Surely he could help out his dad if he wanted too

Bonus incentives from within the family that could get around the salary cap😉

Looking through Instagram and saw this, that's a very good get from the dolphins. They'll be one of the teams to beat in 2025.

Weird experience being genuinely hyped for our upcoming season. Last season I wasn't expecting more than "we'll be competitive and hopefully win a couple more games" and now I'm anticipating us to have a good season.

would love to find a genuine key defender and a genuine ruck

I hear Willy with a big AFL signing to come.
Sandy players not happy about the new coach and some already gone
I don't understand for the life of me why St Kilda hasn't given in to the inevitable and severed ties with Sandringham and brought in their own VFL side. They have a beautiful boutique suburban ground at Moorabbin, and have enough money and resources to be able to support a VFL side.

The sparodic, half heatrted attemps at a rebrand are just embarassing for both clubs.

They haven't got money , apart from the expansion teams Saints have received more money than any other AFL club

Because neither club has money and its alignment is pretty much just like the Box Hill one...besides the name change and the club completley taking it over.

The expansion sides? Both of whom have a dedicated reserves side?

The resources and money put into Sandringham can be reallocated pretty easily without too much trouble.

I can't understand why Sandringham r still with St.Kilda. Zebras have the history and supporters, i would like to see Sandy go standalone.
