Officially the worst alignment since the VFL as we knew it began in 2000. I thought Coburg and Richmonds was bad enough, as was the Northern Bullants becoming known as the Northern Blues and playing in red jumpers with the Carlton FC logo on them. But St Kilda and Sandy takes the cake now.

Nah they have been the best by far. They've been together whilst having a good identity for so long for a reason man. This is pure recency bias by you.

Nice sarcasm there dogs
No sarcasm at all. Richmond/Coburg, Hawthorne/Box Hill, Essendon/Bendigo, Carlton/Preston, Collingwood/Williamstown, North/Werribee, Melbourne/Casey, North/Ballarat, Bulldogs/Willy all far worse. Teams either lost their identity (Casey/BH/Coburg/Bendigo) or they simply couldn't work together. Sandy have maintained a strong identity throughout and they've worked hand in glove the entirety.

Best alignment and it isn't even a contest. How many beers have you had today, be honest

The one they wear like twice a season when playing at Moorabbin? Oh that is such an identity change.

I mean, it's not as if they changed their nickname or identity at all (like all of the others apart from Werribee and North).

I honestly don't know how anyone can say it isn't the best alignment.

Box Hill Hawthorn is the best alignment.
3 flags, great working relationship, same colours and Hawthorn draft players from within. Successful

Meanwhile, Saints announce they will draft a player each season from Sandy and its backfired, players leaving in droves.

Either way thats that

Box Hill and Hawthorne? Okay, you're off the deep end.

Box Hill are basically owned by Hawthorne. They basically control the board, stripped them of any identity (were once the Mustangs, completely changed their song) and are essentially Hawks stand alone in all but name.

They are struggling to find 1 to draft , but they might go for a boy who played 1 games from the academy , that's how these idiots will do it

Frankston recruiting exceptionally well. Doubt it amounts to anything for 2024 but hopefully an influx of Stingrays, Dragons, Ranges bodes well for the next 5 - 8 years. See what Werribee have done. Attract local talent (MPNFL one of the stronger local competitions, VAFA just up the road, Southern Footy League's top youngsters are as good as any around)

Ellison - a good get to work alongside Noah Gown
Bailey Lambert - A great exciting get to work alongside Johnson and the other small fwd
Hipwell - adds leadership to an already young up and coming midfield group

Add a ruck and maybe try get a key back from somewhere and the raw bones of a good VFL side are building. Keep this group together for 3 - 5 years and who knows what could take place
Feeling pretty optimistic for the next few years, assuming our improved player retention continues. We've retained a lot of our best players from this year, although a few are a chance to go in the draft. But the fact that they're choosing to stay if they aren't drafted is a good sign.

Very hopeful that we'll be one of the teams to beat in 2025.

Frankston need to take advantage of getting the best undrafted Sandy Dragons graduates from previous seasons and going forward.

Please. If the Hawks went alone BH wouldn't survive. If the Saints did Sandy would definitely survive.
Hawthorn*

Exactly! Back to bed eth-dog
Haha kidding yourself.

Anybody who thinks Box Hill and Hawthorne are a better alignment than Sandy and St Kilda based on wearing the tri colours two games a year are delusional.

If Sandy were able to stand alone it would have happened by now. It was supposed to happen a decade ago. The decison was reversed as Sandy conceded they wouldn't survive without St Kilda.

Box Hill have better off field support and everyone knows they have a chance of giving it a good crack stand alone.

Why? They're in a good arrangement.

Why is it so hard for you to admit that saying that it's not the worst alignment ever and it's a very good arrangement
