Saturday 31st August, 1.10pm at TEAC Oval, Port Melbourne
1st Qualifying Final
Geelong Cats v Port Melbourne Borough
Geelong finished top of the ladder, and although this game is at Port Melbourne's ground the Cats should win. If Geelong can get through to a VFL Preliminary Final they have plenty of qualified players to come back, such as James Kelly, if the AFL side are knocked out by then
Saturday 31st August, 2.10pm at City Oval, Box Hill
1st Elimination Final
Box Hill Hawks v Sandringham Zebras
Sadly Sandringham's form has been terrible over the last few months and only good form early enabled them to stay in the final eight. In fact, they lost 6 of the last 7 home and away games. Injuries at Melbourne haven't helped much with their depth and the Hawks should win.
Sunday 1st September, 1.10pm at TEAC Oval, Port Melbourne
2nd Qualifying Final
Werribee Tigers v Coburg Tigers
Probably the final I'm most excited about - the battle of the Tigers. Both have been in good form in the last couple of months, and tough to pick a winner in this. In fact, one team will lose for the first time in two months. Coburg hasn't lost since Round 12 when they were defeated by top of the ladder side Geelong by a point, Werribee haven't lost since Round 9 when Coburg knocked them off. I'll tip Coburg in what looks like a beauty on paper.
Sunday 1st September, 2.10pm at Point Gelibrand, Williamstown
2nd Elimination Final
Williamstown Seagullsv Murray Kangaroos
Tough game to pick as well with both finishing near each other on the ladder. In fact only the last game of the year gave Williamstown 6th spot and the home ground for the final. The Seagulls had a good win in Round 20 and I think they can continue that good form.
