What a day. Enjoythe 1pm start. Home by tea time haha

We really did what we needed to do today.

Two biggest positives for mine were Bellchambers playing like a man possessed from 1/4 time onwards and Myers bossing it for the first three quarters before calling it a day midway through the last.

Some really good snippets from everyone else today.

Langford won a bit of it, generally used it pretty well.
Redman was opportunistic and kicked a couple.
Begley was impressive in the first half. Is such an explosive player. 4/4 quarters and we've got a player.
Howlett and Hocking were ok. Didnt dominate, werent pushed around but simply got the job done.
McKernan had another almost game. Threatened to tear the game apart but didnt. Ditto Stewart. 5 - 6 goals between these two.
Dyl Clarke was very good inclose. Dont notice him much but continually bobbed up at the coal face of the stoppages.

Must admit, our VFL listed guys were also quite good today.
Keep an eye on James Peters fr the rest of the year. Nick Hind was good again down back whilst Alex Boyse and Michael Luxford are solidly built utility types.
We all know what NoBby brings also.

Of the VFL guys I was most impressed with Hind.

They were very decent without being amazing today.

Collingwood's disposal was laughably bad. Chris Mayne, Christ.

I actually didn't think Mayne was that bad. He had a crack, kicking into there forward line wss horrible. Least he tried.. Can't say the same for Aish..

The one that catches my eye is Begley, strong body and rarely wastes a possession.
His kicking on either foot is exceptional.
If he can be a bit more consistant and not flash in and out of games I think he will be
a regular for years to come.

You must have missed the first quarter. He dropped about 3 marks and was horrible. Saying that he did improve after that.

Nash Holmes

Angry little 20 year old from Calder Cannons. Played a handful of games with us last year as the 23rd man

I wish I could get 500k for 'having a crack'

What im saying he's far from there worst today.. and is it his fault pies paid him that much. He is playing how he he was at freo.. pressure forward that can kick a goal or 2. I don't care who it is playing forward for the pies atm. They would struggle. Ball movement is horrible and slow

Send your CV to the Westpac Centre or whatever the **** they call it now

I'll mail Derek Hine a supercut of me providing frontal pressure on pedestrians on Bridge Road and an empty briefcase, non sequential notes please.

Mckernan was very good. Mark & kicked very well, tackled like a man possessed. Almost put De Goey in hospital with a tackle across HB which resulted in a Bomber goal. He had about three scoring assists as well doing the team thing. Although TBC dominated in the ruck, Smack won plenty of ruck contests around the FWD line giving TBC the chop out..Overall Mckernan played a great game, on Par with TBC imo. TBC rucked well and took a few great marks, gave our mids the first use and scored some easy goals. But he also kicked the ball out of ruck contests to no one in particular and made a lot of mistakes. I aint knocking him as I thought he was great. But so Mckernan was equal in terms of impact playing in the FWD line. Hardly an almost game....

Great to see us with some so ok depth again TBC Mckernan, Myers, Gleeson, Mutch, Clarke, Stewart, Hocking, Langford, Hartley, Dea, Bird McKenna Begley, Laverde and Long.
Surely this team should be a serious threat to win the VFL flag this year?

Myers, Gleeson, Mutch, Hartley, Stewart are the ones who are ready and pushed for selection today. Others were good, but still lack a few things before being elevated into the 1s

Can't agree. He was good today, but Bellchambers was our best along with Myers with daylight to the next player.

Bellchambers was best on.
