Of course, that's a big part of it, and we lack size in the ruck too, but the frees are 16 - 5, & a lot have been crap calls.
Meanwhile Kelly trots around on a wing...
Players don't even seem to want to kick the ball to him when he calls for it. With an undersized defence, he seems a waste floating around the wing. Shows how little respect the coach has for him as a KPP. He has played wing since game 1. I don't understand how he stayed on the list if he had already been passed over as a KPP/

Umpires are cheating. But we would be losing anyway - that is true
Watching Umpire No 31 with his stylish man bun in particular. He LOVES paying non-existent frees against Pies players. Topped it off by paying a 50 for dissent, the little pomped-up punce. He simply will not pay us a free kick.

Ruscoe - playing afl quality. Clearly our best out there
Richards. Country footballer.
Carmichael- one of our best today. No frills. Can kick a long ball - lacks finesse
McInnes - not much service inside 50 but hasn’t done much. Conditions not ideal for his asset of speed
Macrae. Has been ok. Had a bit of it Apparently was injured in warm up but still played
Harrison - pretty quiet. One excellent left foot snap goal
Kelly - back in defence. Not as bad as some are saying but not great either
Murley - seemed to be playing a bit higher up the ground at stages. Didn’t get leather poisoning though
Steene - has been ok. Held his own. Like what he could develop in to in next few years. Like his big man traits
Krueger. Looks very rusty. And clueless in ruck

McInness seems to be starting in the centre a lot. Are you sure he is playing up forward?

I only watched the second quarter.
Is Richards playing?

Let’s be honest our recruiting has been trash. Kelly no, Harrison no, Murley no, Draper who? Richards country, Reef all talk no show, McRae ok, Steene ???? Tall keys (don’t exist)

Nah, it's been excellent. Gutted our depth to sort out the salary cap, are gradually building that depth back up, whilst putting a good AFL team out on the park.

Yes lack of young talls in our squad but apparently I’m wrong when I say this every week.

Howe, Cameron, Cox, Begg, Wilson, Dean (and until today Kreuger) all injured or being used as a carry over emergency.

In comparison Hawthorn have 4 players total on their injury list and 3 of those are over 193cm.

The week before against Brisbane and only the 2 players in total on their injury list and none are talls.

The lack of top end talent in regards to our young talls is an argument that can be made but our lack of talls as a whole is only down to current unavailability.

Yep, time to retire, Derek. Wright has fixed the first team with clever trading and clearing out deadwood, though Derek’s fingerprints are still to be seen in the twos. Low on personnel, but VFL even seems too high a level for Richards, Harrison, Murley & Kelly. Hawks dominating. Sad to watch…

Richards had 1 possession to half time ftr…

I reckon "218 AFL games. How many have you played?" Is a fair comecabk for Josh when talking to the blokes in the VFL - except Jetta.
Tarkyn Lockyer was the most uninspiring VFL coach I have ever seen in action. He played plenty of games but had no oratory presence as a coach.
