They would have to go better than last year surely. Squad looks v good. Some of those Calder players will make a big difference. V keen to see what sort of year Mitchell has.

Well if it gives you comfort, I had Libba equal BOG for the Cannons Sunday. They just needed something else to get up.

Very lucky to have 2 FS selections in this year.

Your first live pick will be in the 50's.

It could well be, but who knows what could eventuate during trade week.

You will have to wait till the back end of the season. He had a shoulder reco.

There's now 12 or 13 bottom aged players in the Metro squad. Anyone have any thoughts on which of them might survive the cuts?

Obviously they're all talented players, but I would think Longer is looking good for one of the ruck spots in the final squad. Been a top ruckman for years. I remember him playing some u/16 games for the Knights when he was still an u/15er.

Its a terrific squad - would be keen to see Barden and Mitchell up front. Well done Marcon for getting a spot. Bit disappointed Treloar from the Rays didnt get a guernsey.

After watching the Calder vs Oakleigh game today I am over the moon excited about Metro this year.:eek:

The squad of 25 should all go close to getting drafted even though It hasn't been named yet. ;)

By the time they take the OC and CC players into the squad I just can't see much room for many of the rest of the Metro TAC Teams.

The onball brigade will have such an amazing team of skilful runners I doubt the rest of the States will keep up. Jacobs was stunning today as was Prestia and Wallis. Gaff is staring for the AIS. Add maybe Sharpe, Libba and Michie.

Frost, Watson and Gordon are hard to pass. Plenty of key position forwards to chose from and some super quick and skillful flankers.

Can't wait. :thumbsu:

Sezzy, I'm always preparing to be disappointed when it comes to Vic Metro. I'm sure they'll find a way to dish up crap for us.

Who knows what they have in store for next weekend...lots of smalls, perhaps forwards playing back and backs playing forward?

I can't see how they can be anything but a talented, hard running highly skilled team this year. If you look at the foot skills from yesterday OC vs CC game the delivery to the forwards should be first rate.

Throw in a couple from Sandy, a couple from NK and a couple from Eastern and I just pray the weather is fine on the days they play.

You won't stop Gordon and or Tomlinson on a fast lead and I bet they get it lace out more than once. :thumbsu:

If they get their act together, and I think they will this year, they will smash most by big, big margins.
