It’s a horses for courses selection - he is one of the best players of spin in the country and this is going to turn square from ball one and both games are at Galle.

Who is seen as the #2 keeper behind Harper? Lucky to be still getting a game for the Stars, and his batting has been very ordinary in the Shield as well. I’ve long said he’s got nose bleeds batting at 6 in the Shield. Selectors should be looking hard at alternatives for the second half of the Shield season and beyond.

Eh. He's had one (very) bad game for us in the Shield. Lemire is probably the better keeper of he and Blackford but would be batting 9/10 in the Shield IMO and Blackford is a better bat but not sure if he makes it with the gloves.

Really sucks that Gotchy's fingers meant he had to retire. He's 31 and is good enough to bat 6 as a keeper.
