Apparently Hawthorn Monash have refused to clear players who want to leave so other clubs have refused to clear players that want to go to Hawthorn Monash.

I don't where the rumour was from about him going to Hawthorn Monash he was always going to a Richmond player in 2006/07 so this is proven.

Yeah i was speaking to a couple of guys from Hawthorn Monash and as far as they knew he had verbally agreed to join.

Then there was a problem with clearances and it fell apart.

Thats the story i heard. Whether it was the actual circumstances, who knows?

Yeh, it depends on who you speak to from the club. A mate plays there and he said that he hadn't heard anything, but then i've heard the same as you, verbally he was going, but it all fell through.

You get invited to train. Or you ring the club and ask for a try out. clubs will typically tell you pretty quickly if you are not up to it!

I think that 20k mark would be reserved for players in the ilk of Adam Dale or Damien Fleming not just a standard 1st XI player. They could command around 10k + incentives if they are appointed captain - coach of a subbie side.
