In SFIII: Third Strike you can parry individual attacks by pushing forward at the exact moment of the strike... it is literally a frame by frame thing, so you have to get the timing right to within a tenth of a second.

Daigo (Ken) was absolutely on the ropes and had no health left. Justin Wong (Chun Li) launched a 17 hit super combo and only one of those hits had to connect for Daigo to lose. Daigo parried every single of the 17 hits including the upward kick (which required him to jump and parry at the exact right second). Doing so filled up his combo metre and he launched his own super afterwards and took the win.

Unbelievable. Daigo is sitting on the left, watch the movement of his hands on the parries when Wong launches the super.

Lads (and ladies) the legend is true. A mine filled with ebony ore in Skyrim

Only catch, thou must be Orc or Blood kin :(

But the mine filled with gold was also as good :)

Mining is just boring and time consuming though. I just buy material, forge, enchant then sell. By the end of the game there is nothing else to spend money on anyway.

Perhaps.

I try avoid spending my coinage on resources, mostly soul gems for enchanting only.

Aiming to buy a property in solitude. All hail the Empire!

Anyone know of any good, simple multiplayer shooters that'll run on a pretty average computer? Source Engine stuff is good. I'm not a big FPS fan but they're great for killing small amounts of time which I've needed to do a bit as of late. The Day of Defeat community is tiny nowadays and I don't enjoy TF2 as much as I used to.

Is the Wii U Basic pack essentially discontinued?

Online research seems to indicate that JB and EB only stock the premium model?

Whirlpool posters reckon some Target and KMart stores sell the basic bundles but they are very rare.

Really want to get my hands on a Basic. The price bump for Premium is ridiculous, especially considering you could get your own bigger and better hard drive for significantly less then than the price difference between basic and premium.

Strange that it's still popping up occasionally.

EB Games had Basic editions bundled with Mario Kart 8 a month or so ago.

Possibly pre-owned or 'refurbished' models?

I remember reading after E3 last year that Nintendo were discontinuing the basic back in America - I could be wrong about its status in Australia.

I think the KMart bundle you were referring to was the Skylander one which was very cheap when I saw it a few weeks ago ($180 or something similar).

It's a shame PALGN isn't around anymore, they were always good for finding where you could grab stuff like this...

Didn't get this notification .... Weird ...

Yeah only a few places with Basic now. I got the Premium at launch because I worship Mario.

Some seriously impressive titles now, slowly getting there for the Wii-U, but it's too late to make up any ground. Still a heap of titles you just can't get on the big boys' consoles.

They both price match, so play them off against each other.

A lot of people talking up CS: Go on vatious podcasts I listen to. I've also heard Warframe is quite accessible as an MMO shooter. Might scratch the itch (also F2P)

Yeah Wii-U is the first Nintendo console since the SNES that I haven't bought at launch. It stings but have just had too many reasons to wait this time.

Did anyone watch any of The International? As sports lovers are you getting into e-sports? I haven't really tried but I prefer to play than watch but given my current gaming attention span seeks to be about 1-2 hours a session at the most these days I have dipped into a little bit of streaming (mostly Hearthstone) but haven't drifted into any of the competitive stuff.
