I actually can't believe this. After the uproar about Fyfe I thought they would go lenient on the accidental stuff.
I mentally applauded Viney when I saw this bit of play. Its exactly how the game should be played.
To get up and win the pill straight after, well it must warm the heart of Demons fans to see how this guy gets stuck in.
The AFL is becoming a joke.

That is a disgrace. Viney should be playing against us this weekend.
The penalty is because of the injury, not because of any action that Viney took. He has deemed to be reckless for running to pick up the ball and apparently should have avoided any contact.
Again, what a total disgrace.

IF they appeal and the same evidence is heard by 3 new jurors... is there a chance that they could assess the bump differently??

What happens if they determine the impact to be high rather than medium - which TBF it obviously was... this takes the suspension from 2 up to 3 weeks, PLUS Viney would lose the "included" discount for an early guilty plea that makes up the 200 points.

I cant see Melbourne appealing...

So it's risk a front on head clash or baulk a contest.

These guys weren't even running head on and still it's a severe impact because neither braced.

Notice neither "span-out" either.
