You're spot on. Dalziell was on his way to getting a vote in the first half, but dropped off. Actually Waters instead of Strijk.

1) LeCras, 3 goals

HM: Strijk, Embley & Schofield

yeah pretty much what you said there.

i cringe when dalziell/embley/ebert/Emac have the ball...yet when shep has it, im at ease. hilarious that he's just about our best player at the moment, pretty much the only one with class.

5. Shep
4. Scooter - tried his guts out and got a bit of it
3. Schoey - was the only one providing run out of defence
2. Waters
1. Dalziell - lots of turnovers, but was one of the only ones running.

HM to koby steven's hardness. someone who can make tackles stick...hallelujah

Sheppard will be a star, he is doing very well now despite his size.

Pretty much the same votes.

5. Sheppard
4. Selwood
3. LeCras
2. Schofield
1. Waters

We completely folded in that last quarter so its hard to give some votes...

5) Brad Sheppard
4) Mark LeCras
3) Beau Waters
2) Scott Selwood
1) Brad Dalziell

5. Waters
4. S Selwood
3. Sheppard
2. Le Cras
1. Schofield.

Really pleased with Selwood and Sheppards game. Nice debut by Strijk and Stevens was okay in parts. Nice tackle as well but they must have been used sparingly though.

yep sounds good to me

5 Sheppard
4 Selwood
3 Waters
2 Schofield
1 LeCras.

Very happy with the effots of Strijk and Stevens in their first games. Love Stevens attack on the ball and tackling. Nota bad game from a bloke in his first game that knocked himself out.

5. Shepp : Showing why we rated him @ # 7.
4. Waters : Next Captain.
3. Scooter : I think he is learning and improving.
2. Schofield : A much improved player in 2010
1. Lecras : Solid contributor as usual.

Pleasing points out of the game:

Strijk runs the lines with pace good foot skills.
Stevens great to see a young player who can lay a tackle showed enough to suggest he is going to be tough little bugger.

Selwood? Really?

Did nothing with the ball as per usual and Cooney always seemed to bob up with an important and damaging piece of play

I recon he's an absolute hack but I may be in the minority

23 touches at 70% efficiency, 6 tackles, 3 clearances, 3 inside 50s, beat a Brownlow medallist in their head-to-head contest.

Yep, absolute hack...

Cooney- 22 @ 73 and was actually damaging when he got the ball

Selwood is horrible. A couple of decent tagging performances and getting a bit of the ball does nothing to dispel the truth

Went to game and thought selwood was ok, but though cooney did more with the ball and hurt us more. Waters played loose man in defence so didnt have to tag or beat anyone. Embers won a Norm Smith doing the same and hasnt done anything since. Need to see waters actually play on someone and beat them. His disposal when under pressure is poor.

Why is it that last year (and still a little this year) Mckinley cops so much flak for his perceived lack of pressure from the forward line, yet Lecras hasn't got a single defensive bone in his body and is in everyone votes?

Don't get me wrong, i think Lecras is an outstanding player, brilliant forward, he should stay there.. not the midfield, but gives up to easily when the ball is being run out of their forward line.

Is Mckinley the forward line whipping boy?

If McKinley doesn't hurt teams offensively, kicks like shit AND is only a modest defensive presence (at best) then of course he will get bagged.

Lecca has teams planning for him, trying to lock him down and, generally, his mans role is to negate rather than run off. The amount of work teams put into Lecca and Kennedy, should make McKinleys life easier - yet he consistently fails to take advantage ....

He is a whipping boy because of unfulfilled potential or shitness (depending on which annoyed fan you believe).

If he did as much as Lecca offensively he'd be loved too.

Remains a small tall, who prefers a lead and mark game but can't kick reliably for goal until after the game is decided - then he usually scores a couple.
