While I think Smith was BOG, I have a feeling Gaz may pick up 3 votes, as the umpires probably wouldn't appreciate Joel having to change his role due to the team line-up and still being able to pick up 30 possies like we do.

5) Harley - loose man or not we had to fill a huge void left by Scarlett and Milburn's absence and he filled it well

Have not heard from MartyK for weeks . The skippers form must be a real embarrasment for him. Whilst Tommy might not have been our best last night , he was right up there.
If MK knew anything about the game he would realise Tom had an opponent all night....same as Milburn , Scarlett , Mackie always have even if it appears they are always on their own. The coach elected that someone else deal with Hall ---- whose last 3 goals were in junk time.
Tom is in career best form and must give AA a shake.Many suggest he should be AA captain.
Incidentally , he has not missed a game due to injury since half way through 2007 and is currently ranked about 6th in the Inside Football rankings which are always a good indicator for B&F finishes. I would be surprised if Tommy H failed to get a top 10 spot in the B&F. He finished 13 th last year and missed about 8 games.

So, Ablett got the same as Ottens, even though NOONE on this board even gave Ottens a vote? I thought Ottens was serviceable but surely not on par with Gaz, Corey or even Shannon (yikes!). Interesting that Sam Mitchell got 7 for the Rich game (by the same guy); i like Sam Mitchell, but that was one of his worst games for the year.

Gaz is quite obviously a victim of his own brilliance. To suggest that Shannon had as much impact as Gaz is nothing short of laughable.
To suggest Mitchell deserved the same rating as Gaz when even he admitted that he played like garbage in a side that lost to a bottom 8 team, is just an outright disgrace.
