f##k me. It's difficult to give anybody votes let alone 5 players, but this is what I would end up with:

5 - Rozee
I think the Rozee hate gets slightly overblown. He is honestly the only midfielder who looked willing to get any run going through the corridor, albeit with poor disposal efficiency. I don't think he was as physically soft as some of his finals performances he had last year either, and keep in mind he also had to spread more ground in the absence of Butters. He had big shoes to fill and fell short, but not without at least some kind of effort. Same can't be said for the other mids, and yes that includes JHF, putting all bias aside.

4 - Sweet
He competed well with Darcy Cameron and did a nice tackle on Houston in the 1st term that won himself a goal. Nothing special but nothing polarizing either. He is definitely our number 1 ruck by daylight rn.

3 - Boak
Still concerningly unclean by foot but none of his turnovers were as vivid or as problematic as the ones from his prelim shocker last year. Like his whole career, he still gave a sh!t and pulled his pants up to support the struggling midfield. The fact that a 36 year old looked better than Wines, Drew & even JHF is not a good sign

2 - Rioli
Putting his weak post game Instagram story aside, I thought he was one of our only forwards who had any sort of presence or danger and i honestly wish we gave him a bit of time in the midfield when the game got ugly. He's just so much cleaner with ball in hand then the other small forwards.

1 - vote would go to one of Aliir, Bergman or Farrell for... not sh!!ting their pants as much as the rest of the defense or going soft. That's about it

Burton as a sub looked ok, I'd make him sub more often if it lets him play a physically tougher and more composed game on limited minutes as opposed to full games where he gives up on any sort of chase.
