Western Derby 38 is underway. When it's all over you can vote for who you thought were Freo's better players. Allocate up to 15 votes as you see fit. 5,4,3,2,1 is the traditional way to do it, but I'll count any other combo but no player can get more than 5 votes per poster.

5. Mayne - our best player over four quarters by a mile, astounds me that he didn't win the Glenndinning
4. Crowley - just very effective both ways all game
3. MJ - did a great job stepping up down back
2. Spurr - has really filled in well for Duffman, another great game
1. Dawson - snuffed out just about every possible attack he could get to all game. Not shexy, but effective.

Sandi, Pav, Zaaarke, PearceD, Barlow, Mundy, Walters and Ballas were also good for at least three quarters each, and Hilly and Fyfe were great in the last.

Gunyungun

Sutty - his confidence to go for goal, and his skill in slotting it, really turned the game in the start of the last. You could see Hilly, Walters, Fyfe and Mayne just take so much inspiration from the kid's slotting a goal.

Sherro was very good in patches, but also still is getting used to the AFL tempo, making a couple too many turnovers to get the choccies as gunyungun. Would love to see both Sherro and Sutty get full games on Subi's wide spaces - they both strike me as capable of being in our best 22 by next year round 5...

5- Hill- Staggered he didnt win the glendinning, 27 touches, 2 goals, and was amazing all day
4- Fyfe- 30 touches, the guy is a star
3- Barlow- 26 effective touches and 2 goals, great game, would ahve had the other two win the medal though
2. Dawson- Was the general down back today in mcpharlins absence
1- Mayne- Great game.
