Not much love for Hansen. Thought he played very well today had 19 vs Urquharts 20 and everyone is blowing their wad over Urquhart who as a winger/flanker should be getting plenty of it.

While Swallow showed great endeavour it seems like he gets his hands on it and gets wrapped up in a tackle forcing a ball up. Needs to improve his hand speed so he can feed it out to the runners. If he can fix this up it wil be a great 2009 for him.

And Wells and LT getting votes when they couldn't hit a target all day??? But Swallow was good today.

1. Turtle (was alwas going to have a good day after that first spoil)
2. Monster (he's back!)
3. Scotty T (hope he keeps this up)

.

I liked Lachie's game. But more than his possession count, I enjoyed his presence. He has some.

How much more did he look like a footballer this year? I can see him spending a season down back and flat out ****ing terrorising sides in two to three seasons.

Yep.

Still way below par when he gets the ball in a tight situation on the wing (no hands) but as a key back, he is starting to look intimidating.

Luckily DarwinRoo was wrong when he said if you put anyone under 20 games in a KP they turn into Zac Dawson.

DarwinRoo has watched maybe three games live in the past four years, he'd know nothing about football, obviously.

DarwinRoo is our resident expert. He doesn't need to watch games live.

Very subtle.
You're right, needs more:

3. H - real quality today, which someone needed to show.
2. Harding
1. Swallow - good awareness and disposal, and really wanted it.

Unlucky: McMahon, Thomas, Simmo, Urq.

Kept Miller very quiet as well (Miller only got 21 Champion Data points for the game). Hopefully Hansen can get to stay at CHB for an extended period.

My Votes

3 - H
2 - Turtle
1 - Wells

3. Harding - fantastic how he's reinvented himself - into a footballer
2. Hamish - Rediscovered that confidence to run & back hiself
1. Swallow - Guts, got hammered & kept throwing himself in. Kudos for the way he responded to a late call up after not initially being selected.

Unlucky were Thompson, & Urquhart. Also good were Rawlings, Simmo, Power & Wells (esp late).

Jack Z showed me enough to know he'll easily make the transition to AFL. He got absoloutely creamed a few times (including an accidental boot to the head) & never shirked a contest. A couple of bursts of absolute class in reading the play.

3 - Hamish, welcome back
2 - Harding, finally a mid that will give the opposition nightmares
1 - McMahon, tough, skillful and finally got enough possies to do some damage

Power, Wells and Urqs added class
Simmo and Petrie solid when they needed to be
Swallow and Hunter S have stepped up

Is that the same DarwinRoo who said that Hamish will rip the comp a new arseh*le in 2009 because he looks as fit as he has ever been?

Looks like I am a big chance to be coming down to Melbourne to watch us play the Pies. Bring it on.
