Getting less enthused by the week but some decent performances today for a change.

5. Kade Simpson (so much heart)
4. Bryce Gibbs (blanketed SJ, attacked the footy, kicked a great goal)
3. Eddie Betts (hard to argue with 4 goals)
2. Brock Mclean (still slow as treacle but worked hard and actually took a few marks as a link man)
1. Andrew Collins (has his detractors and I'm not sure why. Burns the footy at times but still working his way back into it. Love his endeavour)

BYP: Matthew Watson. Very impressed with his game. Tuohy and Bootsma also good.

Must say, I'm shocked Walker got 25 touches. Thought he was very sloppy...

5. McLean - worked hard all night, easily our best midfielder.
4. Betts - continues to carry our forward line
3. Simpson - kept on buttering up despite some heavy knocks
2. Gibbs - reduced SJ to having no impact on the game at all (this when SJ was coming off 7 consecutive 20+ disposal games, including games of 35 & 36 disposals).
1. Warnock - the dominant ruckman on the ground, was badly missed when subbed off due to injury

BYP - Watson - the kid is starting to show some good signs, hopefully will get plenty more games under his belt in the second half of the season.

5. Simpson - Ran & Ran, then he ran some more
4. Gibbs - Burnt Steve J a new arse.
3. Warnock - Won every hit out
2. Armfield - pr0n machine, man this bloke has some toe.
1. Betts - Brilliant early, went back and did some nice stuff.

McLean stiff, but tapered off badly, was a huge influence early.

Not to be dropped - Bootsma

5. Simpson- surely leading b 'n' f atm.
4. McLean- good disposal, and is willing to get his hands dirty.
3. Gibbs- showed his doubters something today, he has the ability to go hard.
2. Armfield- just loves how this guy backs himself (come a long way since that final in sydney)
1. Duigan- good to see him coming into some form.

BYP- Watson- needs to iron out a few wrinkles, definatley needs to retain his spot. but dam good prospect

5. Simpson - Ran & Ran, then he ran some more
4. Gibbs - Burnt Steve J a new arse.
3. Warnock - Won every hit out
2. Armfield - pr0n machine, man this bloke has some toe.

Not to be dropped - Bootsma

i love your work.:thumbsu:

5 - Simpson (Worked hard all night)
4 - Betts (Best forward by far, 4 goals...)
3 - Armfield (22 touches at 91% DE, 6 I50s, and great dash)
2 - Mclean (Solid contributor, 100% effort even if he lacks the pace)
1 - Warnock (Thought his tap work was great)

5 Warnock - dominant
4 Betts - goals and effort
3 Ellard- meat and potatoe tackles and in and under the pack.
2 Army-effort
1 Brock- still well off pace but did ok

3/4 of good football and kicked themselves out of it in the last quarter. Lack of confidence.

5 - Duigan - made the difference in the defence.
4 - Simpson - back to his better.
3 - Betts - taking marks in the back 50 no less.
2 - Warnock - half a game but brilliant.
1 - Gibbs - good effort to keep Johnson quiet

byp - Collins (or Tuohy if inelgible)

Also good Collins, Tuohy, Armfield, Judd

5. Warnock - proves once again why he'll be key to any future premiership success the club has.
4. Simpson - is my favorite player for a reason.
3. Betts - was brilliant tonight.
2. Gibbs - in my opinion possibly his best game for the year
1. McLean - needs to be in the 22 every week unless injured. Has finally gotten a few games into him and all of them have been very good. Hopefully he can continue the form and make us keep him at the end of the year.

BYP - Watson - enjoyed his coming out party tonight. I fully believe we have three of our four key position players for a premiership tilt (Jamo, Watson, Henderson). One more and a back up and we'll be very difficult to stop.

I will post my votes this week as I believe there are 5 worthy players.

5) B. McLean : out standing game, has grunt and poise under pressure.

4) K.Simpson : toss up between he and Brock for top honors, but good to see the run and dare back.

3) D.Ellard : I really wish the boys would take a leaf out of this guys book, knows his limitations and plays to his strengths.

2) A.collins : I'm not sure why people bag this kid, he attacks the pill hard!! As for the ball use, it will come people, just remember how much football this kid has missed before pigeon holing him.

1) B.Gibbs : beat Johnson, and Stevie J knew it to.

BYP : Z.Touhy : good to see him taking the game on again, is tough and can really use the ball this kid.

Mentions to Warnock, betts, jamo except for a 5 min lapse, armfield, Watson.

I think that he played really well last week as well, but it went under the radar cause of the shock loss. I think Mitchell will complete your list of 4.
