Wether Ronchi was out was inconclusive on the replay so Ronchi did the right thing and took Crossy's word for it. Its pretty funny watching some posters stick up for Clarke last week but having a go at Crossy for a similar decision

Which posters did that! They both hit the ground...

Poor Tasmanians, after their side threw away $2 million against the worst T20 side in Australia they atleast hoped the Vics would lose so they could get stuck in but another bad night :D

You seem to be deflecting the point... but I would too on your side, its hard to argue that ball didnt bounce

It was very noble of Ronchi but Crosthwaite has screwed him over before so i'm a little shocked he took his word for it.

It could have been different if the Vics were honest players but in the end they were the better team.

post a conclusive video or picture showing the ball hitting the ground on either. on clarkes one you couldn't see a puff of grass which suggests that the ball didn't hit the turf.

You find the replay from the left side of the pitch on Fox's coverage... that is dead-set conclusive beyond all doubt!

I'm intrigued by this comment, YOTC.

Would you mind elaborating if you could, please?

Well back in the first exhibition 20/20 match at the WACA Ronchi was smashing the Vics to pieces and had scored 67 off 22 balls, Shane Warne bowled a bouncer to which Ronchi tried to leap and hit over the keeper and missed it, he landed his foot down before Crosthwaite dislodged the bail. Crosthwaite then did his usual celebrate the wicket and don't make eye contact with the umpire and the rest of the Vics followed. Ryan Campbell was miced up for 6pr and he asked Crosthwaite whether Ronchi was out to which Crossie said no.

I wouldn't trust Crossie at all, but the Vics were clearly scared of Ronchi's ability to smash the ball and bought the wicket.

And yes it did hit the ground you Victorians, just accept it because WA isn't going to riot like India, we aren't that precious about the 20/20 final. There are bigger things like Shield cricket and India for us to worry about.

Ronchi was not out. But shyte happens. Was close and I dont think Crosthwaite lied on purpose. Let's not lose focus and forget that 20/20 is a great spectacle and when it all boils down to it who really cares who won. Both are going to India so it didnt matter who won tonight!

Crosthwaite is bitter that he knows he is no chance of ever playing for Australia because Ronchi will always block his hopes & dreams.
So the Victorian Wickie resorts to underhand tacktics to try & bring him down

Yeah poor Crossy, will have to keep performing under pressure, winning titles and getting MOTM in finals whilst Ronchi has the odd good game and many bad ones and never gets anywhere or wins anything

I was worried when I saw that Oxenford was one of the umpires. He was the third umpire in the Sydney Test. His only consolation is that he is better than Peter Parker, who occasionally has trouble counting to 6.

:D

If believing that makes you sleep well...

Ok, thanks for that; that's interesting.

Re the point about the "usual celebrate the wicket and don't make eye contact with the umpire" bit, I instantly thought of Darren Berry when I saw that.

When it's all said and done, Crosthwaite is probably doing no more than carrying on a Victorian tradition.

God, you want some cheese to go with that whine:rolleyes:, FFS, what about that LBW that should've gone McGain's way during his spell.

Anyway the Vics won and the whining from the WACA crowd every time Crosthwaite got the ball was like music to my ears.

What, so he celebrated a stumping like Brett Lee does for an LBW? Shocking

And when have i ever been a fan of Brett Lee?

I mean seriously i'm the only one on here at the moment so you aren't talking to anyone else.

Using Brett Lee against me is pretty funny seeing as i hate the guy.
