WAFL crowds

It's been great to see people getting back to see a few WAFL games. Crowds have been up on last year which is great to see.

Yes, it is good news, but I think one important factor not mentioned in the article is that Subiaco Oval is now packed full for many AFL games and there's now a waiting list to gain membership of the West Coast Eagles. So more people are attending WAFL games because they can't always get a seat at an AFL game.

Still, it's a promising sign and hopefully the WAFL will get their act together next year and play games on ANZAC Day and maybe Good Friday.

The closeness of the competition has been a factor too, I would think.

i only went to one game this year the east Fremantle south Fremantle foundation day derby thats cos i had an 11hour stop over in perth and could see it. great game n great crowd that day

If i wasnt working during saturdays/sundays i would definatly be going to the WAFL
