Let me say in opening that I think Carlton were the deserved winners tonight and the final margin probably flattered Brisbane.

I thought Walls observations at the end were interesting though.

He said he couldn't split Judd and Fev for the man of the match. Was I watching another game? Fev was a deserved winner and Judd was good but surely Black was better than Judd tonight? Had far more involvement in actual scoring movements and after a slow first quarter was clearly the prime midfielder on the ground. There were a couple of patches of the game where Judd wasn't sighted for 10 minutes or more and I thought Judd was about 7/10 tonight - good but not outstanding...

The other bias is saying Kreuzer and Clark broke even. Again, surely Walls was watching anonther match?

Well done Carlton on the night - definitely deserved winners. I'm always amazed though how "media favourites" like Kreuzer and Judd are pumped up.

Walls is terrible, and everyone knows it. Always blatantly for the blues, always blatantly against the handful of teams he genuinely despises (Essendon, Adelaide, West Coast). States the obvious after it happens, and then pretends to be some kind of visionary. Talks up his favourite players, even when they're having a bad game, worse than any player manager working in the box ever does.

Hopefully, a few more years we'll finally have enough decent recently retired players that they can send him out to pasture once and for all.

He's getting worse and worse lately.

Whenever Brisbane scored tonight, it was because of a Carlton mistake. He never gives any credit to the opposition; it's just that a Carlton player made the wrong decision.

The Carlton board has Judd and Fevola clear top 2. I must of been watching a different game because TBH Black's touches had little effect for most of the 4 quarters. Only really got into gear in the last where it was too little too late.

And Clark was hardly a superior player tonight. If you look at the stats then sure but I watched the acutal game. WHEN Kreuzer was rucking against Clark most of them were retty even and never really led to a huge advantage. When Hampson vs Clarke or when Hampson dominated Brennan is a different story.

Please don't think just because you don't agree does it make it bias for others to disagree.

For the record Walls is the biggest gimp known to man and every Carlton supporter hates him. If you listen carefully all he does is talk about Carlton. Talk about how bad it is too chip the ball around or how bad it is to run and carry. He really is just a cynic who is stuck in the 60's..

Agreed. Like Jakovich, Eddie, Quarterbrain. Some just cant help bias.
I thought Judd was BOG BTW. Brilliant run, carry, explosiveness and disposal. Fev next best and then Black/Murphy.

Yes Juddy almost lost us the game when he kicked the sealing goal.

Heh.

Your lot were miles in front, Black upped the tempo by putting in some magnificent efforts and Brisbane were suddenly right back in the mix. You were obviously not watching the same game if you think otherwise.

What Black did or didn't do is irrelevant. Juddy won us the game or at least sealed it for us. Therefore he is the one who pulled us over the line. Who cares if someone nearly wins you a match?

Relax mate - Judd was good for sure and nobody would dispute it. Nowhere near his game against Collingwood but a good 7/10 game....

To suggest Black's touches had "little effect" demonstrates your lack of understanding of football (or your bias). Go look at the tape again and see how many of Black's meaningless touches led directly to goals for Brisbane.

Carlton were very lucky to have won that match, had it gone for another 3 minutes and Lions would have run over them. There was nothing left in Judd and it was only his efforts (actually along with the umpires) that kept the Blues in the game in the last quarter.

To suggest that Juddy only played at "7/10" proves your understanding of football (or bias.)

Maybe on Juddy's scale it wasn't his best game but he was in the top two and won us the game. Simple as that.

Walls constantly talked up the undermanned Lions and questioned Fev's technique when he's kicking for goal.

Great to see a thread highlighting Walls bias and love of Brisbane who he coached. :thumbsu:

Tissue?

Judd was a steadying hand for the young Carlton side and won them the game with his last quarter goal.

Well I note he didn't buy his grand-doughter a Lions jumper. Are you seriuously suggesting he has as much empathy for the Lions as he does for the Blues?

Judd's last quarter goal was a fine effort I would agree.

Can I borrow your crystal ball mate?

My point he didn't 'will' you over the line. He kicked the last goal and he was great throughout the match, fair enough. But it was clearly your game to lose (by this stage), and it was clearly Black who brought his side back into the contest. Hence my posts.

I can't be bothered any more.

Can we all just agree that Walls is a wank?

Walls is cleary a shite commentator and loves the Blues. If that wasn't bad enough, he invariably comes up with a variety of half-baked critical comments about the Blues to sort of even the ledger but largely miss the point.

So he's shit on both counts
