I don’t know who expat is but how sensitive must you be if you’ve taken what Tredrea said (I heard it) and immediately interpret it and respond publicly with “it sounded to me like he was taking responsibility for the past 5 wins.”
Did Chad also have a chat about the past ten years?

Nauseating? Nup. I bloody loved it. I also loved the grin from Timmy. Tredders tried to say he was responsible for the clubs last five wins, srsly wtf??? Tredders hasn’t been anywhere near the players, coaches or admin - who’d be dumb enough to think he had any influence? I’m sure one day in the future Tredders will find his way back to the club but for right now he’s a North Adelaide coach with a podcast and a 10 min radio spot. If I was Chadbro I’d be pissed, if you want to take credit for the wins get a job at the club or at least come to training (but obvs hard if you’re working for North Adelaide).

Surprised if Warren took all the credit for the win. However his justified criticism of the club did cause them
To stop being so meek and step up. I’m sure it added some fire to belly.

As for Chad, of course he’s going to kiss ass of his boss publicly, who wouldn’t unless you have decided you don’t want a job. Any of you employed here go to your boss and tel them you think they suck, they’re no good guzzling soft drink all day however a piece of poo could do you job etc etc and see how long you last in your position.

But blind Freddy can see it's had a huge impact. Anyone who thinks otherwise surely is lacking in inferential understanding.
Nah, after 10 years and 3 rounds it was always the master plan for Kenny to go coach from the bench...

... That it happened to coincide with Tredrea calling out the previous 10 years of dross is pure coincidence. And even though Tredrea's comments had absolutely no impact on the club apparently, he should be excommunicated for having a view that isn't in line with the Kult of Ken/Koch.

Seriously though, the cognitive dissonance among parts of the club and supporter base who are finding ways to shit on Tredrea for calling out an obvious truth is just astounding.

It's real cult like stuff. The club and its leaders can do no wrong and death to anyone who rallies against them. The fact that the person rallying against it is one of the most storied figures in the club's history and that the current leaders of the club are quite literally the least successful figures in the history of the club is inconsequential. The club is always right.

Proper cult like. He's no longer a Port person to them, to them he's a media hack, but apparently being a Port person should trump giving an objective and honest opinion when doing his paid job on radio.

The fact that among this cult Kane Cornes (who is also a Port Adelaide premiership player, and also a paid member of the media) is seen as some freedom fighter for tortured old Kenny Hinkley tells you all you need to know about how much of a pissant mentality parts of our fanbase have acquired.

Explain how? Step up? How does Warren make any changes at the club? As for Chad, he works there, he’s with the players every day and he holds a position as a coach I know how he changes things.

Are you being deliberately obtuse?

Hinkley, who previously flipped his lid at a roadside sticker, was literally tearing up amidst the uncharacteristically demonstrative onfield celebrations in the immediate aftermath of the final siren at the SCG.

Because he was overjoyed at being 2-2 after 4 games in his eleventh season?

Come on.

Rather than some here denigrating one of the clubs legends I’d suggest you have a listen here:

Doesn’t take credit and happy to see club making changes and doing better…..

Thanks for the link. The interview in question though is the 5aa one, that’s the one Chad was referring to. When Warren said “I’ve been happy with the changes I’ve seen ……they’ve had a kick up the butt and proven what they’re capable of”’ he then went on to say “Im an unofficial member of the coaching panel”

I’ve said it before Warren is a club legend, he was an incredibly talented olayer, arguably the best in teal. It’s not that I disagree with his comments about the tenure of our coach I just vehemently disagree that he has any sway with the coaches and players.

It seems that you're walking back to now saying that Tredrea doesn't literally work with the coaches to influence them.
No one has ever suggested that.

What is very clear, and Chadbro's snark proves it, is that the coaches and administration took umbrage at his comments, and made some incredibly out of character moves immediately after he made them. His words sparked action. Action we've been calling for on here for the better part of Ken's tenure.

They are hyper-aware of what he said, and continues to say, so to suggest that hasn't influenced them at all is utter nonsense.

Tredders held the club accountable unlike other ex-players/supporters/journos.

Anything that anyone at the club says has to be viewed in the context of the reality that maintaining the status quo is potentially supportive of their continued employment.

Tredders has absolutely no skin in the game besides being a passionate Port man who wants what is best for the club.

"the best in teal" this line never does you any favours.

I didn't hear Chad's interview but maybe we're being a tad unfair on him. He was asked a somewhat loaded question and is always going to tow the company line. That's just the way it is.
Kane on the other hand goes out of his way to single out Tredrea and pick a fight. He's just a straight up dickhead.

"Us winning 5 in a row has nothing to do with anything Tredders has said, or ever will say".

I think your dog needs a walk finny.

It gave me great satisfaction to yell out “Fcuk off Hinkley!” at that moment, much to the disdain of a member of the “Who are you going to get?” brigade standing right next to me.

Anyone who says that there hasnt been any changes at the club since Tredrea's "untenable" comments, have got their heads firmly planted up their clacker!

1] Ken coaching from the sideline ... Happens the very next week, and admits it was against his wishes
2] See #1 ... Someone in the club, presumably 'Costanza' and/or Richo have stepped in to influence things. That same week! Why? Warren hit a nerve!
3] Players suddenly start playing with passion, they love Ken, and have clearly been stung out of their slumber. Why? Warren's comments hit home.
4] Immediate changes in selections ... Lycett dropped, Williams plucked from obscurity, Ollie Lord given a run. Circumstantial, but the timing is damning.
5] Assistant coaches jumping to defend Ken, and by extension, themselves. Cant stop typing #UNTENABLE

Sure, keep your head up your clacker, and keep telling yourself that Tredrea's comments have had zero effect on coaches, players, and admins.
