For reasons mentioned in my post in the trades thread here's a thread for genuine news items related to trade, draft and list management. No discussion. It's just a place where you come to get a summary of off-season news relating to WB players. Without having to read through 10 pages of posts in the trades thread. I will probably flesh it out a bit over the next few days.

You can drop a post in here if you are aware of genuine news of likely player movement, retirement, etc relevant to the Dogs' list. Doesn't have to be a done deal - eg a request for trade is genuine news - but I'd prefer not to include mere thought bubbles from a journo looking to meet his daily quota of social media posts or column inches.
I'm also happy to include things like injuries and surgery if they are significant enough to affect the player's pre-season.

ARRIVING Matthew Kennedy (Carlton) - Has been traded to the WB in exchange for pick 38 on a 3 year contract. Kennedy had been contracted until 2025.

NO TRADE Xavier O'Halloran (GWS) - WB made an offer to GWS for him but it was knocked back. (15/10/24) O'Halloran is contracted until 2025. This trade failed to eventuate.

GONE Caleb Daniel - has been traded to North Melbourne for pick 25. Had been contracted with WB until 2026. Sam Power knocked back an offer of North's pick 25 for Daniel+pick 48 (14/10/24)

I think there are going to be a lot of disappointed people on here. Geelong may budge a tiny bit at the very end, but it won't be much more than 17. Maybe some late picks swaps as well to satisfy us.
