McKenna with a bit of blood on her hand

I'm sitting that end of the ground - she wasn't ready for that ball to get to her on the full

Could see she was preparing for it to bounce in front of her and wanting to smother the bounce, instead it kept coming

Prestwidge and Faltum is 43 off 15 partnership has swung momentum their way.

This innings eerily similar to what happened on the weekend when we batted first against the Stars

We looked gone for all money in the first 10 innings of that match - just like tonight, it was Faltum but partnering with Stalenberg to build an innings and give our bowlers something to defend

Faltum easily our best Aussie recruit this season

Renegades scored 106 runs on their last 10 overs for the loss of 1 wicket.

Crazy.

It makes that the first 10 overs even more frustrating, and especially the wickets of Capsey & Stalenberg who as far as I'm concerned threw away their wickets, plus the decision to open with Hayward which just didn't work

It's crazy to think we got to the same score as Perth in their innings to start the day as we looked dead in the water in the 5th over

Sutherland 50 up in her 4 overs.

53/1.

The difference between her and Kapp are miles apart.

To me she isnt a death bowler.

They clearly wanted to try and get into the tail just after the drinks break but when we saw off Kapp's 4th over knowing we still had 9 overs to bat, including the surge, I have to admit that I was a little happy as I thought that could work in our favour

Personally would have bowled Deepti or Kapp in the Surge.

Bit late with the gif but I have to.

I may be wearing my red & blue hats of the Gades & Vic here, but how close would Faltum be to leading the way of the next gen of keepers in terms of the under 30 brigade?

She's definitely getting more of a chance with the bat this season than previous seasons with the Stars, and I know she's been going on for Vic also

I know who the obvious candidates are to replace Healy in time, but looking beyond Mooney & Redmayne, would Nic be seen as a younger option to potentially bring into the Aus A & Aus system?

One thing I noticed in regards to the Stars field placings compared with the Scorchers & Thunders earlier today, when we had Faltum & Wareham in the middle, they always had a fielder on the boundary line behind the wicket to try and cover those potential lap or ramp shots

In the early game, the fielders on the boundary line were predominantly in front of the bat with any fielder behind the wicket being on the ring

Is that a good thing or bad thing? Im not sure how switched on Sutherland is as captain as times.

It was interesting because those types of shots were obviously there to play for Mooney, Devine, Voll & Knight, but they didn't really seem interested in them - so it was like the fielding captains understood the strengths of the batsmen and that they didn't need to over defend that area

But tonight, maybe Sutherland understood it was a shot they'd look for which is why they kept someone back
