The Heat let the Renegades get 10-15 too many and didn't help themselves by losing early wickets. The Harris sisters getting globes didn't help, especially as the two of them getting a combined 30 off 20 is sort of job done.

The rain rules in both Big Bash competitions in this country have to change. Overs are lost far too easily due to rain delays. Overs should not be lost until at least 30 minutes have been lost due to rain.

Should be like the IPL where the overs lost doesn’t start until like 9:30pm. Why even have the DLS you have two days! Surely in those two days you get 40 overs between the sides

I watch T10 cricket personally. Watching T10 and T20 cricket are two different kettle of fishes.

You have 2 days , you have a 3:30 hour allowance for a game to be finished - use it.

I propose this rule, a WBBL game on average goes for 3:30 hours. You have at least a 1 hour allowance for rain on the Grand Final.

Apparently WBBL match rules are, overs are lost straight away once rain interupts a game. Ive read somewhere for every 4 minutes we lost an over. Farcical. And Cricket Australia adminsitrators are getting laughed at globally.

The T20 World Cup in the mens this year, we had some games where there was a waiting period of about 1.5 hours im pretty sure before a game kicked off.

Coyte has shown herself to be one of the most generous - she's given away essentially her whole kit bag (a couple of trips made to grab things) including the shoes off her feet meaning she was running around in socks
She comes across as a great team player, who doesn't a **** whether she misses out getting a bowl. Just happy to be part of a winning side and seeing others do well.

WBBL final one day and trade period opening the next

WBBL|11 contracting dates

Contracting embargo: Begins first ball of match 40, Heat v Sixers, November 24

Player Movement Period: Begins 9am AEDT December 2 and runs until 5pm AEDT December 11

Open contracting: Contracting embargo to lift early 2025

Also important to note:

While the draft order itself will not be known until the lottery takes place, usually around the middle of next year, teams already know who finished in the bottom four (picks 1-4) and top four (picks 5-8) in WBBL|10 and can trade based on that.

Clubs will not be able to re-sign or extend contracts of their own players during that period.

Teams will also be bound by maximum list sizes. For the WBBL, a club may have up to eight players on their list prior to the Player Movement Window, and 10 at its completion.

A club's pre-signed overseas player will count towards these limits, should they be contracted to the club on a multi-year deal. Overall final squad sizes remain unchanged at 15.

The squads as known prior to the embargo period starting are available at the link below, but there is a few interesting contracted & off contract players as per the lists

The Heat & Thunder the only teams currently at 8 signings, with Athapaththu signed on a multi-year contract by the Thunder

Gades with only 5 currently contracted players is the least of all teams, and along with the Strikers are the only 2 teams with no intentional players on multiple year deals - though for the Hurricanes their international is Lee who's become an Aussie permanent resident during this season & is expected to be available as a local next season
