It’s so cool to see it’s really happening now and that it appears to be happening at a rate of knots
Yeah it actually surprised me how much work they’ve gotten done in the snaps.

Be prepared, in a couple months, for the posts complaining that not much is happening.

Building goes from looking like it’s moving rapidly, to looking like it’s stalled.

When you see a slab go down, walls go up & a roof pitched it all happens quick

Then the fit-out starts but you can’t see it, so it looks like nothing is happening

People will start with the negative posts. Unfortunately

Just keeping up with the general theme of the forum these days, not a lot of positivity anywhere

Like pretty much every new build / renovation in the history of the world.

Premature jubilation when the frame / trusses go up…..then…..we watch….and wait….and watch….and wait

As we approach the Winter Months be prepared for a slowing of construction due to the prevailing wet weather conditions.
Their aim will be to get a roof on ASAP and reduce the impact of inclement weather.

The good thing is they've managed to complete the majority of the earthworks in the warmer months and shouldn't incur addition coasts of importing crushed rock just to gain site access

The Old Dandenong Rd, Dingley Village, development will be located about 2km from the future home of the Hawthorn Football Club, and along with a spate of other improvements to the regionisset to transform an area once known for vacant blocks and cow paddocks.

And it’s not the only major drawcard headed to Dingley Village and its surrounds, with the Hawthorn Football Club commencing construction on its future home in the suburb late last year and due for completion in 2025.

The 28ha sporting complex will host its AFL and AFLW teams and includes a pavilion and two ovals — one the size of the MCG ground.

Fair chance we could do a few pre-season sessions there i'd say. Grass going to be installed in Spring, not sure how long it takes to be ready to use once laid but can't imagine it being too long. Probably after Christmas we can start doing some private gameplan sessions there if they can make it safe. I think by then most of the work's being done will be internal walls, plaster, lights, doors, fitout, flooring etc...
