"We are Geelong, Port are Our Bitches"

Just getting back to the title of the thread.

In our AFL history the Cats have beaten us nine times, we have beaten them eight, with one draw.

So i hardly think thats means we are their bitches.

Unlike West Coast and the Crows. West Coast 17 wins, Crows 13 wins. Considering a few of them have been important finals, thats biatch material.[/QUOTE]

Wow 4 more wins. I seem to remember beating them in some final games too. Does that not count?. Anyway tides will change, they always do
and they will be our bitches once more.

I'm beginning to get the feeling you'd go into bat for Von Einem if he started a similar thread.

I asked a simple question of Geelong supporters. Not you.

I bet he's a bandwagon Port Supporter. Your talking about my club...I didnt see a "not to be answered by a Crow supporter anywhere". Anyway wasn't the title about Port being Geelongs bitches?

Actually no. I was talking about certain Crows supporters on Bay 13 who bask in Geelong's reflected glory every chance they get - not your club.

Is it that hard to read my posts clearly, or do you just see my username and automatically start mashing the keyboard for misguided textual retribution?

Ok, Ill refrase for you so you understand. WTF has Crows supporters got to do with the title?

Look, I wouldn't try to play this sort of card. I understand you just fine, whether you feel the need to refrase [sic] what you say or not.

WTF has Crows supporters got to do with the title?

Why are we limited to the title? I was clearly referencing the starter - and the billion other similar threads created by those cut from the same cloth since that atrocious September day.

Therefore the relevance of my entirely fair and relevant question related to the reflected glory that certain Crows supporters are still extracting from the GF result - as one reply from a Geelong supporter has shown, this sort of thing hasn't gone unnoticed.

You've charged in here all guns ablazing trying to uphold the honour of 'your club' for some reason, when I'm referring entirely to a certain calibre of scallywag and wondering what those deserving of dealing out such trolls - Geelong fans - think of it all.

That's all.

But keep waving the flag for people you in all likelihood don't know from a bar of soap and wouldn't socialise with beyond unknowingly having a beer within earshot of them at Goalkickers', I guess?

I'm confident every Port game.

I know they are shit-scared at facing us, we match up really well and we play very physical football, which intimidates a lot of the Port players. Port like to play soft uncontested footy and chip it to leading forwards. Their entire game plan revolves around short-kicks.

Easy beats for us. And other clubs will work out how to beat them. Play tough, because port are weak bitches. :thumbsu:
Crows already know.....

Dont worry DT you will be back with your crows scarfe on after a few lean years at Port.

The point he made though was valid, I have seen plenty of Port supporters basking in the success of another sides against Adelaide, you only have to see the Port supporters after the final against Hawthorn last year. You could imagine if it was a grand final what it would have been like on bay 13, I can confidently say it would be exactly the same as what we have witnessed from some of the Crows supporters. I have seen nothing in the 10+ years that both sides have been in the competition to differentiate one from the other as far as supporters go, both teams love to see their side and love to see either the Power or the Crows lose.

I have seen supporters of both teams try and take the moral high ground, but deep down we all know that a percentage of the supporters of both clubs do exactly the same.

The only worrying sign is that Geelong have started getting a few wins against us... last 5 games is 4-1 their way (i think) & the other only concern i have is either it's a close game or the fact we get beaten by more than 5+ goals.

I wont argue that Geelong, are a very good side, and most sides will fear playing them this year. But i enjoy playing the best, as you get a chance to work out where you are at. Geelong were clearly better then us last year, although the Grand Final wasn't the true reflection, and hopefully we can show a bit more this week, and get this season off to a good start.

And since Port have joined the AFL in 1997, we have the best win-loss ratio in that period, so i would say we are not that easy to beat, and if it was as simple as you say, all clubs over the past 10 years are either very stupid or slow learners.
Good luck on thursday.

Adelaide do have that belief....

Do you think the players have that belief? They dont alwasy show it. A top four calibre team doe not drop its head when four goals down, leading toa ten goal + loss.

Looking at Ports draw and the fact that all the kids will now get tougher opponents Port are in for a tough year.

Thi difference between our clubs was 3 games las year. The Crows lost five games by less than a goal. Port won three games by less than a a goal. All three by opposition team cough ups. Hawks, Geelong Melbourne (Neitz Free kick). Take these three gifted games away Port could of been out of the 8.

Port did well in the Finals, we blew our chance, and our easy ride to the GF (compared to 05-06). To suggest there is a big gap between our clubs is laughable.

Port quite a few time last year were losing and came from behind to win, and winning close ones shows plenty of beleif, 34 points down aginst freo in rd 1 last year mid way through the 3rd term and subi, and we went on to win. Against Collingwood at MCG, in the wet close all day, but mostly behind, kicked 3 goals to nil in the final term to win. The Hawthorn game, and the west coast final, 4 goals down late in the 3rd term, and we won. All these show we can grind out a win, the Grand final shows, when we are bad, we are bad, and when playing the very best side, you get smashed.

As for our kids getting tougher opponents this year. Where are all these tougher opponents going to come from, didn't these tougher opponents play last year, but will suddenly appear this year. I guess what you mean is that other clubs will watch them more and would have improved.
Well I'm pretty sure our guys trainined over the summer, and will hopefully be bigger and better too, how much better, i guess we will find out as the season unfolds.

In all honesty mate i like our chances. We are never ''Sh*t scared'' of playing anyone at AAMI coz 9 times out 10 we win idiot. New year, different ball game, ur now the hunted. You come out thinking you can just start from where you left of last year you have lost already. If i were you id forget about last years Grand Final or it may well be another 44 years till your next.

To say we are easybeats on our own home turf is hilarious? The last time you beat us there we were playing a second rate side in amonst a losing drought of 5 games.

Mate, you would think someone would of worked it out before we played you.

We have had the same gameplan for years on end. The last 6 years to be exact and if you have a look, no other club had won more games than us in that period.
