I was very tempted to buy one of these. They still turn my head every time I see one. Beautiful looking car.
The fact that all variants of the Giulia come perfectly balanced and include a carbon fibre driveshaft is a testament to the refinement of the brand.

The handling is amazing too, I opened it up on the freeway uptrack then did a lazy loop back down. Nearly cried when I couldn't buy it then and there.

BYD just announced a stripped back version of their Dolphin hatchback to sell for just under $30k. MG will need to cut the price of the MG4 or they'll be losing market share pretty soon.

It's hard to compete with the scale of BYD on price right now. They can just keep rolling out new models at every price point cheaper than their competitors. This is a company that has taken market share off Tesla so MG have got no chance unless they've got a cheaper offering.

I picked one up a year ago. Lovely to look at and lovely to drive. The new model comes with a 5 year warranty, previously 3. Alfa’s have a reputation for being unreliable but mine’s been trouble free.

Yeah the one I was looking at was electric blue with a camel interior and bright yellow brake callipers. It was beautiful albeit slightly ostentatious. In the end I chickened out and went for the "safer" German option.

I was tempted by the electric blue but went traditional in the end with the Alfa red

I would consider buying an MG to support our sponsor, but it wouldn’t be the decisive factor.
One consideration for buying an MG was to support our sponsor, but it wasn’t the decisive factor.

For a long time my wife and I just had the one car (Nissan Qashqai) and I used my motorbike if the wife was using the car.
In 2020 I bought a new MG3 as our second car (still have a motorbike). The new MG3 was around the same price as a lot of small second hand cars. The MG3 had a 7 year warranty.
In 2022 the MG had extensive hail damage and was assessed as a write-off. I was given the choice of a new MG3 or dollar amount I paid for the first MG3. I went with the new MG3.
We live in the Adelaide Hills and my preference (car) is to drive the MG. The only thing with the MG is that I would have preferred a manual but they’re only available in auto (a turbo would be nice).
