Maybe but I'm not so sure. Meehan was gone well before the 5 week review started. Burgess may well have been the primary target.
I dunno. The whole 'headhunting a messiah' thing hasn't really been our style for a while now, and did seem a bit out of character. We generally leave that sort of thing for water-treading clubs like Essendon and St Kilda.

Taking the time to review the entire department before going to market for someone who fits the review's findings is much more consistent with the sensible stability that our administration has practiced in the past.

You only have to look back to the process we went through to appoint Yze last year.

Geez. The far from exclusive BF greater mob declared this dept absolute shit somwhere around 2022/2023.
How dim of mind is the club to drag this out to now. Penny pinch at a cost RFC. Players careers diminished and reputation as the destination club whacked with a wrecking ball.

Lesson learnt review? Lets hope so. Who'da thought caring for your playing assets was so "rocket science"!!

people reckon were a bunch of nuffies on here but every now and then we get one right.

Make no mistake, it may have been an official 5 week review, but the club have been doing an assessment on the strength and condition department since the bye rounds.

Just remember I was a Benjamin Serpell man before all you ratbags.

We will now see a B Serpell led recovery which takes the Tigers back to the our rightful nation.

Domination.
you were also a louie fan

I never rated Louie. Just wanted to wait til the evidence was irrefutable before condemning him. Maybe I was slightly slow to react after the 12th player went down with a season-ending Burt Bacharach.

But I have learned from the experience & happy to go early on Serpell.

Hang on, didn't we have another Sir Pell or Bishop Pell or something that was tied up in some messy affair?

This bloke is just about the most important man at Richmond. Entrusted with rehabbing some extremely high draft picks in Lalor and Hotton, the rest of the ACLs in Clarke, Lefau and Gibcus and conditioning Lynch back into full time footy. You'll see a very different approach in injury management in 2025. No rushing blokes back, blokes coming back and building fitness through ressies and most importantly, a huge focus on conditioning and injury prevention. Chalk and cheese from the Butcher Meehan.

100%. If we didn't get Serpell, I doubt we take the risk on Hotton.
