Xavier Ellis remarked on the hard ball gets podcast that Nasiah is one of the best kicks in the afl and that he was incredibly impressed because good kicks at under 18s level barely ever translates straight into good kicking at afl level. Something about zones and s**t not being common under 18s therefore the instincts on where to kick and when to kick are different.
He seems to be able to create time and space for himself through a couple a small, quick steps. It doesn’t have to be a large space but just enough to give him time to execute cleanly.

It’s Definetly something he had in the u18s and at every level he went up.

This kid does not get the love he deserves in the media. He is a genuine A grader

Suffers from looking like a 200 game player. No-one can fathom that he's in his second year.

Yeah, he's fast off a step and then has that loping racehorse run out in space too.

He's been a revelation since moving to the HBF. So glad he signed on for the next couple of years.
Guys like him and Sinc's being confident and using their ability to make plays and hit targets make watching footy an enjoyable experience. I'm all for grunt and effort...you need that too, but watching a player execute skills is still the best thing to watch. course
And goals of course, lots and lots of goals.

Cannot believe I wanted us to pick Sinn or Sonsie over Nas

He’s quite the prospect (star) already:

Evasive, high footy IQ, has defensive presence, can kick a goal, tall AND has a good leap which as a HBF/winger makes him a strong marking & intercept marking player, and of course has an elite field kick. Doesn’t mind a bit of physicality either does NAS.

Probably has the highest ceiling in the league for the position he plays (wing/HBF) considering he’s 20 and has the talent and the build to excel. Truly flourishing, must be averaging close to 30 touches a game in this last chunk of the season.

starting to get the confidence in kicking a goal. last year and early this year, he either pass it or kick a point, now he has kicked a couple

Wont be a centre square mid but he'll end up at stoppages as the outside player.

Think Hill at hawks just taller

I wouldn't move him. Plays that HBF role as well as anyone in the league. He's surprisingly tall but moves like a whippet, he's like an upmarket Sam Gilbert. I reckon it's easier to find good outside/ wings these days. There are very few elite running HBFs that come up.

Don't be surprised that teams start to put work into him...that will be the test of whether he can become elite...so far he has been our best fr draft pick in 10 years.
Not that there is much to compete against.

been amazing and completely flying under the radar externally
Pretty standard. Imagine he played for Dogs, Sydney, Richmond or Carlton.the media would be fawning all over him

A bit of a fluke yesterdays goal, but we’ll take it all the same!
