Richmond has signed 183cm forward/ruck Amelia Peck to its AFLW list

Richmond has completed its list for the upcoming AFLW season, elevating train-on tall Amelia Peck to its senior list.
Peck, a key forward/ruck recruited from the Southern Saints, has impressed while training with the Tigers throughout the pre-season.
The 21-year-old becomes the third train-on Tiger this year, along with Bethany Lynch and Meg Macdonald, to be rewarded with a spot on the AFLW list.
Peck played 10 games at VFLW level last season, averaging 7.9 disposals, four marks, and booting seven goals.
The 183cm former basketballer began playing football at 18 years of age for Wesley College before quickly progressing to the NAB League and the Victoria Metro squad.
Richmond AFLW Recruiting Manager Trent Mosbey said Peck caught the Tigers' eye throughout the VFLW season.
"Amelia impressed us with her strong contested marking, kicking ability, goal sense and ability to play both forward and ruck," he said.
"We think Amelia has some strengths and upside that could really flourish within our program, and this contract is a reward for her excellent form throughout our training drills and match simulation."
Peck's inclusion on the senior list is in place of the Tigers' first selection at the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft, Charley Ryan, who is inactive due to an ACL injury.

Yes, hands are good in marking contest - the bit from the highlights I liked the best was that immediately after taking a mark in general play, she was on her bike looking to play on and be a threat with the ball. That is what we have missed - Miller does it a bit, which is what makes her such a threat down back, Peck 'could' become a very good hit up leading forward not unlike Wakefield - time will tell.

I’m hoping a young tall can emerge as I reckon serious doubts on Darcy , has looked so sluggish in highlights I’ve seen so far

Hicks is about 153 and gets buffeted out of the way most of the time , if not peck someone else should get her spot

Ok. Fair enough to question Hicks. That's a bit different to Peck for Hicks. Thought she has been lucky too but probably had her best game against Port. Not sure we have an abundance of decent quality small defenders. Molly Eastman is the only one that really comes to mind that's available. Cox would have been a good alternative.

Yea prob was her best game used the ball well a couple of times , wicki or Ryan I’d prefer . Not too surprised kb I hope is being rested and not injured , Laura Mc can play as a key forward , not sure I like idea of Luke asa kpp not seen too many marks yet
