Toast Welcome to West Coast - Josh Hill

He's putting in a lot more work around the ground this year, last year, he often stood around instead of hunting the ball or trying to chase down an opponent. Huge change this year in his mindset, he obviously realises that he's career is truly on the line. Hopefully he can keep up the standard next year if he gets a multi-year contract.

Hill isn't the type of player who will put his body on the line to halve a contest that's a fundamental aspect of his game that won't ever really change. He's a half a shoulder type player, who is too old and too well worn in his playing style to change.

When someone with as much talent and a better contested game comes along he will displace Hill.

In the mean time we can all enjoy his three goals a game from 15 possessions with multiple tackles, pressure acts and a couple of goal assists.:D;)

Easily most improved player in our team. One of the most improved in the league. I don't think he's played a bad game since coming back and he averages 2.9 goals per game. Gathers bulk possessions and allows Lecras to go forward. Also, he's quick.... where the hell did that come from?

Watch his highlights packages from the Bulldogs - incredibly gifted footballer just always lacked the intensity, passion and willingness to go in hard which he has been finally showing consistently this year under Simpson.

Keep it up Hilly!

im hoping with some life maturity he's got some focus and hopefully simpson has really broken a game plan down for hilly and he understands his role and has seen the fruits of what that can bring and it motivates him to continue to perform like that until it becomes standard for him
