The World Hot Dog Eating Championship was held overnight and I must extend a warm congratulations to Patrick Bertoletti who consumed a massive 58 hot dogs.
Unfortunately it would feel like a hollow victory with the two favourites for the competition missing. Joey Chestnut was disqualified due to a deal with a plant based food organisation while Tom Hawkins is injured and was unable to fly across to the event.
