Priddis total inability to get clean hands away is the sold reason we sucked in the first half. Woosha finally changed things up after itwas obvious they where playing him tight and leaving our mids out of position.

Not so certain i agree with this now that ive watched the game.
I will however agree with you that i thought that quite a few times his disposal was ordinary and im not talking about the sometimes round the corner kicks which a lot of players do under duress. Im talking about the 4/5 times he looked up and missed the target by a long way.

To me the set up didnt change at the centre bounce or with the different set up at other stoppages for almost the entire game. The only time it changed was half way through the last quarter.

At centre bounces Priddis takes position at the straight drop down position(normally if the ball is halved by the ruckmen). His job is to get quick hands or halve the contest or tackle the oppo. Selwood takes the oppo the WCE want monitored(he is still asked to win the footy but mind) and the other mid which in the first quarter was suprisngly Lecca and Shuey also gets the run at the place we want to put it. For most of the game the ball didnt go into Priddis domain as much as it normally does - however the WCE setup was good! When Priddis is out of the square then often Selwoood realises his role and takes front posistion

At general stoppages Priddis role lately is to get right at the front of contest or to block that space from the oppo(just as important)- not as the organised reciever.

In the last quarter Priddis moved around whiched worked as the oppo went to him , opening up the tap forward to a fast moving Shuey(would like us to do this move not just for Shuey as we could get too predictable)

We are very structured at ball up situations. Do i agree with this - well thats a different question. I do believe that sometimes we are too predictable.

Just on something different i was also interseted in what Woosh did with Smith.
Fresh legs and Woosh decides to play Smith in his normal role and he realesed Schofield to the wing and Embers went forward - not 100% sure why he did that seeing that Smith was fresh.

Anyone else think Masten's one of our better players?

Sure he won't have a 30 possession 3 goal game but this is a positive step.

Your right good call he won't have 30 possies. He'll have 31 instead:eek:
Good call, bet you didn't think you'd be pretty much spot on.
Well done Masten, the new brigade won it for us Saturday, the old crew helped out as well.

Forward Press, can you please predict a few more players to not have 30 possie 3 goal games from here on out. Dont worry about next week as we have sured up 4th spot. Take a weeks rest to get yourself right then come out firing in the 1st Qualifying. :)

What are the black armbands for?

It may be a little late for this reply, but I thought I'd offer it anyway.

The Eagles wore a black armband in honour of the recent loss (to breast cancer) of Tia Moore Foster, the eldest daughter of long-time Eagles Club Doctor (Dr Rod Moore).

I know this as Tia was my sister. Enormous respect goes to the Eagles for this gesture - Tia's entire community of family and friends drew tremendous strength and comfort from this act.

Condolences for your loss mate. Glad to hear a small act can have a positive impact on your family. Good luck in the finals.
