I’m no Vardy lover, I’d gladly never see him play for us again, but we’re +4 in the clearances and Gawn has done absolutely **** all out of the middle. It’s working thus far.

The smaller fwd line looks to work much better, like it has almost everytime we've used it this year.

Isnt Lever good, the way he made Petch slip and butcher an uncontested kick after a mark than he then never touched in any way after it hit the deck. AA stuff.

Also, Langdon is sub, so he was sort of out of the team if all went well. Had a big contested mark and I am sure he was involved in the middle of the ground for one of our goals. He's depth, but we need depth on the list.

We need role players as well even though everyone hates to see it.

Melbourne have no pressure and are playing finals in three weeks. They will be feeling pretty excited and are going to come out strong. We have to match it. If we do what we did in the second we can grind this out. Not sure though as we have a split personality side. Don't know what s we are going to bring at any given time.

Why do we continue to play langdon?

We have no small forwards available and whenever we pick a midfielder to play at half forward the MC gets dragged.

Laughably bad miss aside I think he’s been solid, equal most score involvements on the ground, great mark to set up Cripps’ shot, two tackles, working up the ground. That miss is a heart breaker

If you have a team that hasn't proved they are good enough yeah...but this team is underperforming big time and this just smacks of another excuse

Yeah I don't get it either. Just a very average player. Nothing tells me he is AFL standard. This is why our coaches and match committee are hopeless. Bunch of headless cooks running our club.

Agreed, had options as well to hand it off, could even have bounced and run into the goals if the defenders peeled off to prioritise covering the handball release.
