Round eight was our yearly brainstorm of 'What is a Gumby' and luckily it didn't distract us too much as we won our SECOND GAME IN A ROW with a 14-point win in front of a home crowd.

Pamcake1 and Cubs2Lions showed up in the Mobbs medal voting while our favourite utility JT_the_Man came off the bench and rocked our world with a stunning 3 goal, 93 dream team point display.

Facing the Dragons is always an interesting week and it's even worse when they end our chances of winning three in a row with a 36-point thumping over on Dragon Island.

Even though we were thumped dogs105 began to return to his season 37 form and claimed a mobbs medal vote while HARPSichord and BigChippa52 also had solid games. Even SSwans2011 showed up in the votes for this week after an excellent game off the half back flank.

Mobbs and the Roys are always a personal favourite of mine..... but not when they break into our home and hand us a 46-point hiding as our season goes from bad to worse.

After a couple of quiet weeks ClarkeM showed up in the Mobbs Medal votes, applying 8 tackles. Pamcake1 also received a mobbs medal vote and clearly put some money in the qmpires pockets being award 6 frees-for. Otherwise, Giant YoYo and dogs105 also have decent outings to arrive in the votes. BFew hit the century in match thread posting for the week and was yet again the most yappy of the week.

At the end of the season, the players of the Wonders were asked to vote for the player they think were the best player in the simulation, the most active poster across the board, and the poster that brought the most quality to the match threads. These votes were then combined to award someone as the 'most valuable player' as voted by the players.

This season's winner didn't have the greatest year in the simulation, but was still able to put some goals on the board while being a very active and quality poster throughout the period. Our Wonders' Wonder of the Season received votes across all three categories.

We shall return to the votes in a few moments, but first let's have a look at the leader board.

Pamcake1 still leads the votes and has made their lead greater as it grows to 37 points with ClarkeM sitting on an even 100. First year player, Giant YoYo is having an unreal season so far and is still in the hunt. Last year's winner, dogs105 is rampaging up the leader board while Cubs2Lions has a bit of a quiet period and sits comfortably in the top five as well.

Who doesn't love music videos, our old friend MayTheNorthBeWithU, and having to face DemurePrincess yet again at their new club? I won't answer that....

The new look bombers couldn't put the wool over the simulators eyes though as we got a three point victory against the eventual wooden spoon 'winners'.

ClarkeM continued an elite season and is surely the favourite to win it by this point with a game that included seven tackles and two goals but dogs105 is surely quickly climbing the board after a showing in the Mobbs medal votes but Pamcake1 also had a strong game to continue a massive season and was also this weeks chattiest Wonder.

Round 12 had us face the East Side Hawks yet again in a muddy clash at home and even though we beat them earlier in the season, the Hawks had began to find their premiership form and we lost by a massive 51 points.

In a game that was hard to find highlights, Pamcake1 was yet again solid alongside the ever reliable dogs105. BFew's move away from full forward was a solid choice and they had a decent game with their replacement, DenieD kicking 1.5.

A DRAW AT THE COLOSSEUM! This game marked a lot of our first draws in the league and just the Wonders fifth in over 700 games.

Among the best was ClarkeM, dogs105, and HARPSichord with Clarkey the only Wonder to register a Mobbs medal vote.

After the passing of Grand Uncle Horace at the beginning of the season, it was decided that the Wonders rookie award would be renamed in his honour. Grand Uncle Horace previously won this award exactly 10 seasons ago and has been one of the Wonders best ever rookie recruits.

This season we welcomed Giant YoYo and Roonescape to our organisation and this would have been extremely hard to pick if the latter had joined at the start of the season as both of them hit their straps quickly and we can not wait to see what they bring to the league in seasons to come.

A trip to Spotswood saw the Wonders lose by 12 points as what little hope was left in our season fell down the mountain further.

Among the Mobbs Medal vote receivers was our favourite utility JT_the_Man who recorded 64 dream team points and Pamcake1 who recorded 67.

dogs105 had another excellent game in a fantastic back end of the season while croweater 41 also had a rare glorious game which saw him kick five goals.

For the second time this season we met the posting cohort of the Mountain Buller Demons but this time it was for Heritage round as the 'West Coast Wonders' turned 'Seventh Wonders' and celebrated the anniversary of the 8th, 18th, and 28th season.

An 18-point win at The Snow Dome put some life back into our finals hopes but some serious work needed to be completed at this point.

dogs105 took home the three Mobbs medal votes after a massive game that included 15 hitouts, 33 disposals, 6 tackles, a goal, and 135 dream team points while Giant YoYo was the only other player to exceed 100 dream team points while JT_the_Man came close.

A big thank you to everyone in the team that showed up and posted across the season. It was truly an enjoyable season with you all, but there was one poster that will be taking award the 'Posting Award' for being our highest poster.

The winner of this award posted 1330 times in match threads this season and averaged 83.13 posts per week. Seven times this season, they were the most active poster of the week.

If there was anything that could have improved our season, a 56-point win against the Gold City Royals, including former wonders Cadsky and Brenton Davy, would have been high on that list.

By this point it was HARPSichord's turn at full forward and a six goal haul made us wonder why he wasn't there earlier. ClarkeM's form also returned at this point as they collected the three Mobbs medal votes. Other than that Cubs2Lions and dogs105 also had a strong showing. ClarkeM was the chatter of the week.
