Yep Olonga, I get the impression he doesn't really follow Cricket so doesn't really offer much to the shield coverage. Most the shield commentators are alright seeming they're nuffies- the victorian commentators are unbearable though.
How ridiculous are Joel Paris' stats and I was surprised at how few games he's played. I realise he was injured for yonks but feel like he's been injury free for a solid 5 years now. For me he should be playing test cricket sooner rather than later.
Well time to get back on the horse.....and to the SCG against the blues

I'm sure Hardie is/was injured.
There's was talk about him possible replacing MM for this test but said he was unavailable due to injury.
Whiteman has been out longer than I thought he would.
Would be nice to get him back.
Pretty sure Inglis is the concussion sub.
If they wanted to play him, they could've played him in today's PM game.
No chance he's released to play Shield IMO.
We need an outright.
With the Vics playing Qld at home, they could go 2 games clear if things go their way.
Is Hardie injured ??? I have heard nothing...thought he was being managed last shield game after playing the white ball

He definitely had a niggle and couldn't play.
I'm pretty sure they have a bowler and bat on stand bye these days in case of a concussion.

Jhye being managed out of the coming Shield game. Reports he was ahead of schedule and the plan was to largely focus on white ball cricket this summer any way.
Apparently CA is managing the entire WA shield team against NSW this weekend.
CA has stated specifically that NSW will be playing against Penrith 3rd grade ...this is to enhance there prospects of going well and priority for test selection.
WA players have been tasked by providing players that can only field and provide drinks...strictly under instruction not to bat or bowl
Zamps has been tasked by CA to bowl from both ends ....Stuart Clark has been informed this time

Didn't deserve to draw, but man oh man, I would have taken it. Dropped to fourth on the back of that.
Nah we always struggle at the SCG
But atm its not looking good for WA cricket and I do worry for the future ..the break has come at a good time

It's killing us....Whiteman Kelly Connolly Turner Agar Jhye Paris Morris Haskett..and what has happened to Hardie ???? we should be talking about him being a legitimate candidate for the test ...is he injured ...?? what's going on ?

Bowlers consistently being managed ....Jhye Paris Morris.....in and out every game..it's hurting the team IMO
Thought Couch has bowled well so far this year...Gannon looks tired...Rocco average this game ..Paris when he plays awesome....Morris bowled okay this game
Batting
Too inconsistent ...too many starts .....Bangers has been horrible and its hurt the team......Whiteman leadership not there as he has been injured ... Cartwright having a good season but again makes starts needs big scores.....Goodwin showing promise but again you need big runs ......I like the look of Curtis he looks a goer one to watch...Fanning Wyllie just wasting away careers

Not looking good for WA based players IMO to represent Aus in the near future especially in the tests......Marsh looks tired Webster gunning for his spot.... Greenie still injured....Inglis just permanently a bench warmer honestly think we are wasting away a very talented cricketer to play test cricket.....still think he is one of the best players of spin in the country..maybe a middle order spot on the Sri Lankan tour he gets a test cap....but our selectors are just too stubborn
Jhye and morris ....yeah whatever you can't press your case for national callups if you are not allowed to play...and the picking of Abbot and Dogget is just a slap in the face to both jhye and lance

Possibly lack of consistency, we've had players in and out of the team, haven't been able to put the same side out for several games in a row. And so many of our best players are injured, managed or on Oz duty.
Three years of being the best eventually catches up with you.
Yeah and how many are in the Australian side, so many have got a game still waiting for a good one.
Bancroft falling off a cliff has had a real impact.
Also, as mentioned, injuries and managing players.
Players off the top off my head that were injured, managed last game were Turner, Richardson, Paris, Connolly, Agar and Hardie.
Makes it hard.
