To think that when we're up and about we're the best team in the competition by a mile, no team had had our level of sustained success in the Big Bash apart from the occasional Sixers or Heat title win, but it just hasn't clicked for us this year, sure Inglis being both a backup for Carey in the test squad and injured hasn't helped, but we've had a fairly strong bowling attack and they haven't been delivering like they should do.

Have you been watching?
I wouldn't be blaming the bowlers TBH.

Our batting has been very poor most of the series.

And the Sixers have been a lot better than "occasional winners".

That's true enough, maybe I'm being a little dramatic, it feels like the last couple of games our bowlers have struggled to put away our opponents after a good start, but our batting his definitely been very lackluster, our international imports have been dreadful, it's made me yearn for the likes of Crawley and Eskinazi.

Sixers are much better than that yes, but compared to our history it doesn't quite compare.

I thought the same on Eskinazi, Hell I'd even take Lyth (maybe not actually)

We’ve blown a couple of last overs. Tye got dropped for Kelly after his effort against the Thunder and now Kelly likely to dropped for his effort against the Renegades.

The fielding has been a step down from previous years. Tye dropped a gettable catch and Turner missed a run out from point blank range last game.

Turner also dropped a sitter off Rutherford vs the Thunder, who went on to win them the match

Ok he’s not injured but at 29 times not ticking. I’m assuming with the Ashes coming around next summer and the oldies getting one year older they want guys like richo and Morris fit and ready to go if needed

Yes it’s more about the timing of the surgery why play bbl at all why Make the decision now why not earlier ?? Why was he picked in the test squad ??
Probably meant he got to play some of the season, rather than have surgery and miss the whole season then be ready for when there are no games.

Instead he got some cricket in, joined the test squad but will now be fully recovered for the start of next season anyway

Only issue will be if something goes wrong from here I guess
