we have had atleast two sides train so far, just not at the same nights. yes we are small but we should win games because we have been running and we should be fit, we lost every game last year but i thought we did ok in a couple of games, just didnt win new coaches and game plans will hopefull help us this year go the roosters

Was asking Rooster44 about Caroline Springs you have got the wires crossed but thanks for the run down on Wests

We talking West or C Springs, i went a had a look at Springs as i live around the corner. West will be ok, had 34 train so far (not all at once though), and if some of the players that i hear are actually returning we might alright. But who knows until round 1.

Sorry i wrote back before i read this. Caroline Springs will easily have the numbers, they had 48 on the Wednesday but only about 20 when i was there on the Thursday but it was early and i'm sure a few more would have turned up. But Smackers ang Groga and the rest of the coaching staff looked sensational....lol....

Yeah Roosters44 we are averaging 44 blokes everynight since we started in November, great turnout for a new senior team, recruited well, still getting lots of calls from guys from other clubs to see how much $$$ they can get out of us but we tell em where to go. Smackers and the boys are doing a great job, with a BBQ on Wednesday night a couple weeks break then back into it ready for the year ahead.

phippa, sounds like theres abit of tension between you and westernstar33. would this impact on your continuation at west or can you keep on doing what you do best for the roosters and bring the peace to the field for the sake of the other boys?

I beleive in what happens on the field, stays on the field. I dont like everyone ive played with in the past n he probably wont be the last. The game, the club and I r bigger than that. He did what he did and he has to live with that, not me (no names or details sorry, thats between himself n I)
ill back him or any team mate on the feild if we play together for the same club/team, but off the feild his no friend of mine.

If I play at West its cos of my mates n the mutaul respect I have for them n the kids. Theres nothing better than watching kids grow in confidence. I honestly believe in the kids down at West n I hope I can advise or help them in anyway possible. Like others helped guide me.

dont want to bring this topic up again wb , he didnt play 9-10 in the 1s in 2007 he is kidding himself if he did....................yes he did win the medal for bog in the GF for the ressies that year, but i'll bet u he would give it back to a part of the senior premiership that year

Gee would want to be big as Condos for Deer Park and Docherty for Albanvale are pretty big

from personal experience shane does not chase $$. As a multiple league best and fairest in his junior years he backed up at senior level in Div 1 for Altona depite an obvious size issue, when available due to work commitments sometimes taking precedence. A couple of years ago he was top 5 in Div 1 reserves league B&F playing only 7 games.
Dicount Shane at your peril but I would have to say he is pound for pound the best player I have seen in a long time at any level in the WRFL. 4ft 1/2 at best and will tackle anyone regardless of size. From an ex Altona person I wish him the best and am sure everyone who knocks him will have egg on thier face at seasons end vote count.

Albanvale has about 15 better players, mayb you should be talking other players and stop boring us with rubbish about this lil muppet,i dont rate him ever since he left albanvale and bagged the club everytime albanvale played altona..

anyways caroline springs looking the goods so far, we have had 108 senior players train since we started so looks promising.
