Anyway just commenting on what's going on around the league.

Are you from the Colts? If so how are they travelling as I hear they were struggling for numbers during pre season. If this mail is correct and they are struggling they should watch the Parkside thing play out. If the league lets Parkside go down to a lower division this might be an opportunity for the Colts to also move down to div2. They could try and win a flag before a possible move to the SFL and the league avoids a business div1.

Found a new coach who everyone will know and a lot of players that haven't been cleared out yet are heading back.

Probably won't be any good but they will field teams so that's a positive

This must really hurt Nathan if the players come back after he has stood down. From what I understood he was a very popular person around the club. Just goes to show how close to the knifes edge clubs are, and how they rely so much on an unreliable "Product", the Players !!

I have heard they will be naming an ex AFL playing coach today.

Someone just told me I need to get some credibility back on BF. Ha ha. So my mail tells me its Cain Ackland ex Carlton ruckman.
33 yrs old and last played AFL in 2008 I think. Not sure what his been doing since then but will be a good pick up. Hopefully his bringing some players as well..

is Wyndhamvale Falcons coming up from Divsion 2 to make the 10th team? Parkside are happy to play in Division 2 at the moment for 2015 season.

My suggestion if Parkside want to go down a division, is the league asks for an expression of interest from clubs outside div1. The league then assesses each one and makes a decision.

Forgot to finish..

Make a decision based on a criteria.
Option 2 - if no one takes up this offer is to make it that you can't be relagated after the 1st year.. This could allow for a club with good young talent to plan ahead. Would be a good challenge if someone wanted to take it on..

I would agree that West Footscray are not in a position to go up to div1. Blokes they have recruited are mostly div2 players, and blokes like McNautly would have preferred to stay at Colts if he wanted to continue playing div1.
Needs to be a club in a stable position with good juniors coming through I suggest. The only issue will be their plans would have been for a few years time, so they would need to be fast tracked..

You have just confirmed what I said, which is how fickle these players are. You play for the club, and you go through your career with a number of different coaches, some you like and some you aren't that fond of. But you play for the club and stick by the club. Seems these guys want to ride back in on their white horse as if they are some sort of saviours !!

Don't think we've heard the last of Nathan and Parkside in the same sentence. My understanding is he has not worked since injuring his foot (while representing the club) during a grandfinal a few years ago. Coincidently filed a tax return for earnings from the club for that season (smart boy.) I wonder if a settlement was reached when both parties agreed to part ways.

Cmon mate, what's going on.. My source is pretty confident that Cain Ackland is coaching. Im told the issue is more that Parkside are still undecided about committing to this season as still trying to confirm player numbers available for this season. The question is, can they get a min 50 players on board.

Troy Kelm leaving Albion. In my opinion, their best player by quite a way, and 2nd best ruckman in the league behind Wade Skipper. Will be a massive loss for Albion, as not sure they will have the funds to replace someone of his quality.
